أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٦٢
أَمَّن
يُجِيبُ
ٱلۡمُضۡطَرَّ
إِذَا
دَعَاهُ
وَيَكۡشِفُ
ٱلسُّوٓءَ
وَيَجۡعَلُكُمۡ
خُلَفَآءَ
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ
أَءِلَٰهٞ
مَّعَ
ٱللَّهِۚ
قَلِيلٗا
مَّا
تَذَكَّرُونَ
٦٢
¿Acaso Quien responde al afligido cuando Lo invoca, alivia los pesares y los ha hecho a ustedes los responsables de la Tierra [puede equipararse a quien no es capaz de hacer nada de eso]? ¿Acaso puede haber otra divinidad junto con Dios? Pocos son los que reflexionan.

Who responds?
I recently had to do an unpleasant task at work and it was making me feel miserable for hours. Suddenly, my negative thought cycle was interrupted by the thought that there must be an ayah of the Quran I could turn to in this situation. I remembered this verse from Surah Naml which changed my outlook.

No doubt it is Allah، Who helps a person when he is in distress. If you reflect, there was a moment when you were distressed with no way out and then suddenly, it disappears.
It may come again and drag you back to Allah swt , but it is removed again. Allah swt reminds us that it is He who listens to His slave while he is in this low position in his life.

I don’t know if everyone one has experienced the moment that Allah Describes in this ayah. Distress! That compels you to cry out to Allah! Only Him knowing fully well that non other than Him can remove your distress. For me it’s almost impossible for me to read this ayah without feeling that moment, when I couldn’t get my head off the ground in sujud, as though if I left the position, His 'presence' would leave along with it, or perhaps I couldn’...Ver más
