Have you ever wondered why Allah used the word Malik (The King) here and not Rabb (The Lord)? For example in the first verse of Fatiha Allah says Rabul Alameen ( The lord of worlds) but here it says Maliki Yaum Addin (The King/Sovereign Of The judgement).
The linguistic Miracle of Quran here is truly amazing. In this verse the word Din is used for judgement which means government, law, order, judgment, decision, reward and punishment and accoun...Ver más
Ver más
After reminding us that He is the Most Compassionate and the Most Merciful, He could have spoken of His might, His power, or His overwhelming authority. He could have declared Himself Al-Jabbar, the Compeller , Al-Qahhār The Subduer, The Overpowering. Instead, the reminder comes gently: He is the Master of the Day of Judgment. It feels as though the message unfolds with care. First, mercy ; His doors open, His compassion extended, hope made possi...Ver más
Sometimes I listen to interviews on YouTube (most of the time I don't watch all of it, but just listen to the specific parts that catch my interest more to save time), and there's a common pattern that is observable in all interviews.
In the beginning or the opening of an interview, the interviewer introduces the guest (the one being interviewed) by mentioning some of his or her greatest achievements, skills, talents, and so on. A little backgr...Ver más
The first thing that caught my attention, الحمد لله رب العالمين, right? The Lord of all of existence, العالمين, all of the realms, all of the worlds, all the creations, all the creatures and their functions.
And Allah سبحانه وتعالى is رب العالمين, the Lord of the worlds. And so this idea of His control over everything and how everything is going to function in full harmony.
And when you get into Surat Al-Baqarah, سبحانه الله, it's like the cate...Ver más

One reflection that I've had is that in making a dua, the main goal of it is actually to strengthen our relationship with Allah in doing so, and the particular thing that we are asking for is secondary.
For indeed, if our relationship with Allah is good, then the ease, help, and the resources that we are asking for in order to handle our situation will automatically come to us through Allah's mercy and in the way that He wills.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,
So we open the Book of Allah again, it has not closed because Ramadan has gone. The Book of Allah is much needed. Engagement with the Qur’an is a great investment of time, when time in this worldly abode is limited.
We are in always need of Allah’s Guidance. The Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) are the best sources of guidance.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
Another Ramadan which the Most Merciful has bestowed upon us and our imams and teachers will often rightly tell us that there are many who have not made it to this Ramadan. But here we are el hamdulillah. We are witnessing a great mercy. All praise is due to for Allah, Who has gifted us with an opportunity not to take without reflecting upon Allah’s love and mercy.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
