Imagine sitting in a room that has no internet connection. And then all of a sudden, a powerful wifi connection becomes available. You can't see it, you can't feel it, you can't hear it, or sense it any way, but your environment and the potential ability you have to connect with almost anything or anyone in the world has changed drastically. The device that could not connect with anything outside of itself a few moments ago can now connect with i...Ver más

I came across a piece of advice recently that was quite simple, yet so very profound (paraphrased):

'If you don't feel right saying 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem' before doing something - don't do it!'

If you are about do something, say something, listen to something, eat something, read something, write something, post something - and it just doesn't feel right to say 'Bismillah' before beginning, that's a great signal for us to stop, reflect,...

Ali RA~ Said if you understand the beginning of BismiAllah- just the B you understand the entire deen.

in the name of Allah - In/the/ connection - relationship -
Deen is focused on Connection, which goes into relationship - Building connection/relationship with Allah -ourselves- people- society - world etc.

Everything we do either brings us closer to God or disconnects us away from Allah swt - Our transaction between humans can bring us ...

I wanted to begin this group, with the name of Allah.
As Allah began the Quran in His name.

It's amazing how , no matter how much we learn about the names of Allah there's always a sense of vagueness to them.

For example we hear in a lot of lectures why Allah chose الرحمان and الرحيم .
And the different implications that each of them have. One example can be like the former is mercy for everyone and the latter is more for the believers.

B...

﷽

When I begin the Qur’an with الحمد لله رب العالمين (Al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-ʿālamīn),  Ifeel that I am being taught how to speak to my Creator. These are not ordinary words — they are the very words Allah selected for Himself. Ibn ʿAbbās explained that Allah opened His Book with al-ḥamdu lillāh because He loves it and chose it as the most complete form of praise. Mujāhid said that every type of praise belongs to Allah, no one else shares in it...

B~ BismiAllah isn’t a complete sentence : suppose I say 'over there' you will eventually ask where or what ?

Just like that BismiAllah is half of the sentence and there must be an action after that ~ other wise it’s incomplete !

BismIAllah ~ playing soccer = me playing soccer for sake of Allah = playing becomes an act of Ibadah =

BismiAllah ~ before I eat = me eating for sake of Allah = eating becomes an Ibadah

What made Orientalists attest to the preservation of the Quran in it's written form was the fact that they saw consistency across the various manuscripts which date back to the mid 7th century when Uthman RA ordered for the masahif (written copies of the Quran) to be unified. These consistencies exist even in cases where the uninitiated might assume that human intervention would be warranted. For example, in the writing of:
باسم ربك
بسم الله

Bis...

BismiAllah - Back in 90s you would have to take a radio and dial into the right tune, so you move the radio around the house and move the antenna around to get perfect connection and same time you have to use a dialer. ( 90s and 80s ppl will understand this more ) To get the right signal, the right frequencies, you are required to do exactly that. Same with Quran, certain verses, certain words, certain pauses, brings the frequencies of the heart...Ver más

Elevated Prayer Series

Day 10: بسم الله

After mentioning the اِسْتِعاذَة in our prayer, wherein we proclaim that we have taken refuge in Allah, as we want to distance ourselves from the evil, we move onto the بَسمَلة *basmalah* - the saying of بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم, in which we are seeking to attract the good.

The first part of it, بسم الله, is normally translated as ‘*With the name of Allah*’. It is clear that this phrase holds no meaning b...

Any dogma which benefits both you and society at large should be adhered to. If the dogma is not protecting the rights of others then it cannot be a dogma that is successful.

Every house needs a frame and foundation before it is complete. Without any secure foundation the building will collapse.

So, one should ask themselves which structure guarantees the well-being of the human being and if it is beneficial for the human being then it will be ...
