فَلَمَّا

جَآءَتۡهُمۡ

رُسُلُهُم

بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ

فَرِحُواْ

بِمَا

عِندَهُم

مِّنَ

ٱلۡعِلۡمِ

وَحَاقَ

بِهِم

مَّا

كَانُواْ

بِهِۦ

يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

When their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were prideful in whatever ˹worldly˺ knowledge they had,¹ and were ˹ultimately˺ overwhelmed by what they used to ridicule.
