O believers! Do not let some ˹men˺ ridicule others, they may be better than them, nor let ˹some˺ women ridicule other women, they may be better than them. Do not defame one another, nor call each other by offensive nicknames. How evil it is to act rebelliously after having faith! And whoever does not repent, it is they who are the ˹true˺ wrongdoers.

Ibn Qudamah gave a powerful imagery on the urgency of Tawba, repentance, and not procrastinating it:
The example of the one who delays repentance is that of a man who tried to pull a massive harmful tree out of the ground. After several failed attempts, he decided to delay that task one more year.
What he is missing is the fact that the following year, his body will only get weaker, and the roots will only get deeper.

In the Name of Allah the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

Ibn Mas’ud RA said:

'When you hear Allah saying, ‘O you who believe’, give it your full attention because it is either some good you are being commanded with, or some evil you are being prohibited from.'

I revisited this advice from my current read ‘Advice regarding the book of Allah’ by Shaykh Hafidh Al Hakami - explained by sh Abdur Razzaq Al Badr pg 36, and I wish to share t...

'Contemplating Trees: Lessons in Humility and Unity from Nature | Reflections on Allah's Knowledge and Our Relationships'

Next time you see a large tree, imagine what must have been happening in the world when it was just a small sapling.

Allah knows what seed that tree grew from and from where that seed originated.

Allah is aware of every season that tree has endured.

Allah knows exactly how many leaves it has grown and shed during its entir...

Every sinner judge other for sin differently.

When we witness someone sinning, it’s easy for shaitan to whisper thoughts of self-righteousness, tempting us to look down on others and judge them harshly. We often forget that it’s by Allah’s mercy and guidance that we are protected from falling into sin. He has closed doors to dangerous paths for us, just as a mother shields her child from the dangers of open electric wires or fire.

How immense i...

Ramadan taught me to focus on myself rather than being critical about others character and flaws. In this duration I was more close to my nafs then ever, shatan was not there to deceive me. I got to know my shortcomings and the root cause.
For the whole month I have worship the lord of the Ka'abah with sincerity and commitment, now I cannot hurt something that is way more dear to Allah then His house (Ka'abah), that is the dignity of a believer.

Asalaamu Alaykum

Just as Allah has made our exterior beautiful may Allah beautify our hearts
AMEEN.

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr:

The Prophet (ﷺ) never used bad language neither a 'Fahish nor a Mutafahish. He used to say 'The best amongst you are those who have the best manners and character.' (See Hadith No. 56 (B) Vol. 8)

What will that mean to you when we say 'we love you for Allah's sake'? In my limited interpretation, this means 'we agree and we hope' from each other that we recognize the truth that 'man is created with weakness' (partial 4:28). This suggests we acknowledge, we all would have such character flaws in our personalities so we are told to overlook each other's mistakes and forgive each other. But for what reason?
Is it to demonstrate to ourselves ...

This Ayah is very inspiring. It encourages us not to hurt people in any way or form whether that is intentionally or unintentionally. I really like how it encourages people to not even call other by the nicknames, they won't like being called. This shows how much Allah swt cares about us. He(swt) doesn't even want us to be hurt in any way or form.

#manners
O those who believe, that no men should ever mock at other men, since the latter may be better than the former, nor (should) women (ever mock) at other women, since the latter women may be better than the former ones. And do not find fault with one another, nor call one another bad nicknames. Bad is the name of sinfulness after embracing Faith.* And whoever does not repent, such people are the wrongdoers.
(*). It means that calling other...

The essence of Ramadan calls for compassion, understanding, and restraint in our interactions. As we observe the significance of fasting, let's practice 'Hijab',

it's crucial to remember that the hijab symbolizes not only modesty but also the dignity of individuals, often concealing personal struggles and adversities. Just as we should refrain from judgment regarding whether someone is fasting, especially in public; it's vital to honor the priva...
