And so will your Lord choose you ˹O Joseph˺, and teach you the interpretation of dreams, and perfect His favour upon you and the descendants of Jacob—˹just˺ as He once perfected it upon your forefathers, Abraham and Isaac. Surely your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”

This so happens when you choose a particular career option, or it could be anything, but you ended up doing something else. Ultimately, it decides on your skills and expertise. The positions offered in the job Market are based on our skills and abilities. I found this ayah so profound and inspirational. If we look at story of Yousaf(A.S) psychologically, Yousaf(A.S) had to go through the worst of Trauma i.e Childhood Trauma. Imagine a 7-8 years old child being thrown in the middle of a well by his own brothers because of something he wasn’t even responsible yet he remained firm and didn’t lose hope in the mercy of Allah(S.W.T) because he knew that Allah has chosen him for a bigger purpose and Allah(S.W.T) would never let him down.

It’s a lesso...

Certainly, your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise.'

Allah(S.W.T) is **العليم.His knowledge is always Perfect.** When everything seems lost, hold onto hope, for Allah’s plans are more beautiful than we can comprehend because his knowledge is perfect. Trust in His timing, believe in His wisdom because he loves you more than your own self. Allah(S.W.T) knows what your heart yearns for. He knows your choices better. He wants you to turn your fears into ...

This is how your master will keep on choosing you so that he may fullfill his favour upon you.

Yusuf AS is told you will be chosen by Allah again and again for a bigger purpose.
So get ready for that as he is going to go through a lot of stuff in order to be able to get to where he was intended to be.
We learn here that our mindset on how we see our problem really matters.
The brothers of Yusuf as saw themselves as victims, even though they were...

Prophet Yaqub realized that God had chosen his son Yusuf and would grant him prophethood and the correct interpretation of dreams. This was also a kind of prayer from Prophet Yaqub to Allah for his son, which Allah fulfilled later in Prophet Yusuf's life. And It was also the fulfillment of Prophet Abraham's wish to see righteous leaders within his lineage. Indeed, Allah is the Accepter of good prayers, He knows everything, and He is the All-Wise

These two ayahs remind me of the importance of giving our children practical advice that warns against harm, but then following it up with words that will ease their hearts and remind them of Allah SWT.

I wonder how Yusuf (A) must have felt as a boy going to his father to share a vivid dream. (I know my 5 year old is super excited and enthusiastic when he shares his dreams with me, mashaAllah. I'm not sure how old Prophet Yusuf was at the time o...

Allah has a unique and beautiful way of unfolding His plans. Despite our efforts and plans, we end up where He wants us to.

Surah Al Anfal (verse 30) states

'And Allah is the best of planners.'

One cannot understand the hidden hikmah in the time taken and the journey we have to go through. Allah eventually makes us end up reaching the point which was already destined for us.

Perhaps it is because the time taken enriches us with unmatched expe...

An Islamic wisdom tells us 'No one experiencing sadness will read Surat Yusuf except that they will find relief'. So why Surat Yusuf ?

Amidst all the trials, heartbreak, lies and struggles, Prophet Yusuf continuously and consistently is described as from the 'muhsineen' (those who embody moral excellence).

His brothers throwing him into a well, his separation from his father for decades, his selling into slavery and his persecution in prison f...

No family is immune from complications, Allah will not give you or me a normal family. Wether you like it or not , there is gunna be some body who is trouble. That is just how Allah made us.

And sometimes you will even wonder how are u two are related.. it could be like that, but because Allah decided that you had to be around certain people in your life and they had to be your trial and you had to be theirs.....and
you are tied to them for li...

İn this captivating narrative, one constant element stands out – the 'qamis' (shirt). Notice how the story revolves around it, ultimately returning to this symbolic garment. Some commentators have aptly titled this surah 'Qassas al-Qamis' (The Story of the Shirt). While much has been said about this tale, I'd like to highlight an aspect that resonates with me.

Throughout Prophet Yusuf's (Aleyhisalam) life, the qamis itself, though falsely tainte...
