Go da a mapnggasto iran a gasto mayto ago mala, go da a khatarapas iran a balintad, a ba di misorat (a balas) a bagian iran; ka imbalas kiran o Allah so mapiya ko pinggolawla iran.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
وَلاَ يُنفِقُونَ
(Neithr do they spend), in reference to the fighters in Allah's cause,
نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَةً وَلاَ كَبِيرَةً
(any contribution -- small or great --), with regards to its amount,
وَلاَ يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا
