وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم

مِّنَ

ٱلۡعَذَابِ

ٱلۡأَدۡنَىٰ

دُونَ

ٱلۡعَذَابِ

ٱلۡأَكۡبَرِ

لَعَلَّهُمۡ

يَرۡجِعُونَ

And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment¹ short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will return [i.e., repent].
