أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٦٢
أَمَّن

دَعَاهُ
وَيَكۡشِفُ
ٱلسُّوٓءَ
وَيَجۡعَلُكُمۡ

الوجه في إجابة المضطر أن ذلك الاضطرار الحاصل له يتسبب عنه الإخلاص وقطع النظر عما سوى الله، وقد أخبر الله سبحانه بأنه يجيب دعاء المخلصين له الدين وإن كانوا كافرين؛ فقال: ﴿حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ وَجَرَيۡنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٖ طَيِّبَةٖ وَفَرِحُواْ بِهَا جَآءَتۡهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٞ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ أُحِيطَ بِهِمۡ دَعَوُاْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنۡ أَنجَيۡتَنَا مِنۡ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَ...عرض المزيد

Who responds?
I recently had to do an unpleasant task at work and it was making me feel miserable for hours. Suddenly, my negative thought cycle was interrupted by the thought that there must be an ayah of the Quran I could turn to in this situation. I remembered this verse from Surah Naml which changed my outlook.

No doubt it is Allah، Who helps a person when he is in distress. If you reflect, there was a moment when you were distressed with no way out and then suddenly, it disappears.
It may come again and drag you back to Allah swt , but it is removed again. Allah swt reminds us that it is He who listens to His slave while he is in this low position in his life.

I don’t know if everyone one has experienced the moment that Allah Describes in this ayah. Distress! That compels you to cry out to Allah! Only Him knowing fully well that non other than Him can remove your distress. For me it’s almost impossible for me to read this ayah without feeling that moment, when I couldn’t get my head off the ground in sujud, as though if I left the position, His 'presence' would leave along with it, or perhaps I couldn’...عرض المزيد

One said(yusuf a.s) وَقالَ لِلَّذي ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ناجٍ مِنهُمَا اذكُرني عِندَ رَبِّكَ and he forgot him as soon as he is out of prison فَأَنساهُ الشَّيطانُ ذِكرَ رَبِّهِ
