I came across a piece of advice recently that was quite simple, yet so very profound (paraphrased):
'If you don't feel right saying 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem' before doing something - don't do it!'

in the name of Allah - In/the/ connection - relationship -
Deen is focused on Connection, which goes into relationship - Building connection/relationship with Allah -ourselves- people- society - world etc.

I wanted to begin this group, with the name of Allah.
As Allah began the Quran in His name.
It's amazing how , no matter how much we learn about the names of Allah there's always a sense of vagueness to them.
For example we hear in a lot of lectures why Allah chose الرحمان and الرحيم .
And the different implications that each of them have. One example can be like the former is mercy for everyone and the latter is more for the believers.

When I begin the Qur’an with الحمد لله رب العالمين (Al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-ʿālamīn), Ifeel that I am being taught how to speak to my Creator. B~ BismiAllah isn’t a complete sentence : suppose I say 'over there' you will eventually ask where or what ?
Just like that BismiAllah is half of the sentence and there must be an action after that ~ other wise it’s incomplete !
BismIAllah ~ playing soccer = me playing soccer for sake of Allah = playing becomes an act of Ibadah =
BismiAllah ~ before I eat = me eating for sake of Allah = eating becomes an Ibadah

What made Orientalists attest to the preservation of the Quran in it's written form was the fact that they saw consistency across the various manuscripts which date back to the mid 7th century when Uthman RA ordered for the masahif (written copies of the Quran) to be unified. These consistencies exist even in cases where the uninitiated might assume that human intervention would be warranted. For example, in the writing of:

BismiAllah - Back in 90s you would have to take a radio and dial into the right tune, so you move the radio around the house and move the antenna around to get perfect connection and same time you have to use a dialer. ( 90s and 80s ppl will understand this more ) To get the right signal, the right frequencies, you are required to do exactly that. Day 10: بسم الله
After mentioning the اِسْتِعاذَة in our prayer, wherein we proclaim that we have taken refuge in Allah, as we want to distance ourselves from the evil, we move onto the بَسمَلة *basmalah* - the saying of بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم, in which we are seeking to attract the good.
