وَٱلَّذَانِ
يَأۡتِيَٰنِهَا
مِنكُمۡ
فَـَٔاذُوهُمَاۖ
فَإِن
تَابَا
وَأَصۡلَحَا
فَأَعۡرِضُواْ
عَنۡهُمَآۗ
إِنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
كَانَ
تَوَّابٗا
رَّحِيمًا
١٦
Pe cei doi1 dintre voi [bărbați sau femei] care încalcă legea [au relații intime nepermise] pedepsiți-i pe amândoi. Dar dacă ei se căiesc și se îndreaptă, atunci lăsați-i în pace. Cu adevărat Allah este Primitor al căinței și Îndurător.

The Adulteress is Confined in her House; A Command Later Abrogated
At the begining of Islam, the ruling was that if a woman commits adultery as stipulated by sufficient proof, she was confined to her home, without leave, until she died. Allah said,
وَاللَتِى يَأْتِينَ الْفَحِشَةَ
يعني الزنا
مِن نِّسَآئِ
