Al-Ma'idah 5:46 وقفينا على اثارهم بعيسى ابن مريم مصدقا لما بين يديه من التوراة واتيناه الانجيل فيه هدى ونور ومصدقا لما بين يديه من التوراة وهدى وموعظة للمتقين ٤٦
وَقَفَّيۡنَا
عَلَىٰٓ
ءَاثَٰرِهِم
بِعِيسَى
ٱبۡنِ
مَرۡيَمَ
مُصَدِّقٗا
لِّمَا
بَيۡنَ
يَدَيۡهِ
مِنَ
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِۖ
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
ٱلۡإِنجِيلَ
فِيهِ
هُدٗى
وَنُورٞ
وَمُصَدِّقٗا
لِّمَا
بَيۡنَ
يَدَيۡهِ
مِنَ
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ
وَهُدٗى
وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ
لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
٤٦
Și Noi l-am trimis, după ei1, pe Iisus, fiul Mariei, întărind ceea ce a venit înainte de el în Tora și i-am dat lui Evanghelia, în care este Călăuzire și Lumină, confirmând ceea ce o precedase în Tora, Călăuzire și Îndemnare pentru cei evlavioși.

Allah Mentions `Isa and Praises the Injil
Allah said,
وَقَفَّيْنَا
(and We sent...) meaning, We sent
عَلَى ءَاثَرِهِمْ
(in their footsteps) meaning the Prophets of the Children of Israel,
بِعَيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَوْرَاةِ
(`Isa, son of Maryam, confirming the Tawrah
