Al-Aaraf 7:72 فانجيناه والذين معه برحمة منا وقطعنا دابر الذين كذبوا باياتنا وما كانوا مومنين ٧٢
فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
مَعَهُۥ
بِرَحۡمَةٖ
مِّنَّا
وَقَطَعۡنَا
دَابِرَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
كَذَّبُواْ
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاۖ
وَمَا
كَانُواْ
مُؤۡمِنِينَ
٧٢
So We saved him and those with him by mercy from Us. And We eliminated those who denied Our signs, and they were not [at all] believers.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
Allah mentions the rebellion, defiance and stubbornness of Hud'speople, and their opposition to him, peace be upon him,
قَالُواْ أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ وَحْدَهُ
(They said: "You have come to us that we should worship Allah Alone") Later on, the disbelievers of Quraysh said,
وَإِذْ قَالُواْ اللّ
…Allah mentions the rebellion, defiance and stubbornness of Hud'speople, and their opposition to him, peace be upon him,
قَالُواْ أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ
