When you open something, you see what was hidden before. Opening a door shows what’s on the other side. Opening a book reveals worlds you didn’t know existed.
That’s what نَشْرَحْ teaches me. When Allah opens your heart, you begin to see your life differently - meaning in your struggles, beauty in your waiting, and mercy in your pain.
Maybe the true nashrah is not the changing of your situation, but the opening of your understanding.
I just woke up tonight at 1 am and could not sleep back due to me having this a lot of thoughts in mind about the dunya especially with what I experienced yesterday and what I worry about today and the future.
Plus came a message late at night to me about me not attending to one of my clients because I was actually having a headache yesterday and needed rest. And that added me not able to sleep.
Then I decide to read Quran, and here I read Sura...See more

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
I had made a simple but sincere Dua to go to Makkah and Madinah. I had no idea it would be accepted so quickly. It was as though I had been teleported to these two most sacred cities. I was getting my head around being in the places which are the most sacred places in the world.
My heart, being very heavy and I was ready to pour everything that was disturbing it, to the Lord of ...See more
Surah Al-Inshirah (Surah 94), also known as Alam Nashra, is a beautiful chapter of the Qur'an that conveys profound lessons of hope, patience, and the mercy of Allah. Being in a profession where I get to speak to a lot of people about their personal life, it made me realise that the definition of 'hardship' or 'happiness' truly depends on one's perception and mindset.
I have met people who have all sorts of serious conditions you can name of, that is negatively affecting their quality of life, being in pain or disabled. And yet the person would still be smiling and greet you kindly, being nice, po...See more
We pray to Allah to uplift our hearts. And then we get the answer rapidly so that we do not doubt he definitely will. I like the way Allah tries to calm our human hearts down every now and then, that don’t worry as with difficulty comes ease. May Allah answer our prayers and make life easier for all of us.
This is the second surah I learned after I became Muslim. It felt as if Allah was speaking directly to me. At this time of my life I was losing friends after embracing the deen, trying to become a better Muslim and trying to defeat bad habits. This surah brought peace to my heart in ways unimaginable. In the midst of chaos, I was reminded by Allah that He removed the burden from me. This surah is a reminder to trust in Him, no matter the length o...See more

Allah delivers us to victory on His timing, not ours. Yet, in the thick of the hardship -- long before victory arrives, -- as we toil through the pains of loss and the struggle for triumph, Allah gifts us with ease. It may come in the form of helpers and support from sources and people we least expect. It may be a sustained flow of provision, so that we need not worry about this in the heat of the battle. It may be serenity He sends into our hear...See more
