I read a quote today that said:

'Fajr: Who will rise first -
You or the sun?'

What a positive and productive way to start off the day! To rise up and be able to to say, 'Oh Allah, I made this body rise from sleep and comfort to submit to you in worship even before the sun rose over the land. Please forgive me and accept me'.

May Allah allow us rise early to worship him and make our days meaningful and productive.

May He bless us with the ...

One of my favourite surahs.

From the seerah you will see that the Prophet ﷺ experienced a significant break in revelation prior to ad-Duha and because of this he was struggling with self-doubt wondering if he did anything wrong to warrant this hiatus.

Then ad-Duha was revealed and Allah reassured him of his worries. ‘Your Lord is not angry with you, He does not hate you, He has not forsaken you’. Stop overthinking, you didn’t do anything wrong...

Whenever I am having a bad day, the next morning brings me so much peace and happiness. It's a mercy of Allah that the next morning comes, we have an opportunity to have a fresh start, forget yesterday's whims and difficulties. The morning we wake up feeling refreshed, reset. That's Allah's mercy and how lucky are we get to experience it.

And the same time, we also realise that we are one day closer to our death. So we should be more cautious o...

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

And what is the greatest loss of all?

And the greatest sadness of life is that you didn’t recognise His love upon you, you didn’t contemplate His blessings and that all the affairs which you encountered were to make you come closer and closer to Him.

That you did not humble yourself in gratitude and nor did you look back and contemplate how He saved you from disaster over disa...

In certain phases of life, we believers may feel as if we have become more disconnected from Allah's pleasure, mercy, and His blessings. More or less, this same feeling may be silently lurking inside some of us as we remember that Ramadan has just come to an end.

As I reflected on this, I was reminded that there was a period of time in the Prophet's life (peace be upon him) in which he himself started to feel that perhaps he was cut off or aban...

The amazing structure of Surah Al-Dhuha (The Morning Brightness)

Allah reminds His Messenger of three favors and commands him three corresponding patterns of behavior in return:

First: أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ ‎﴿٦﴾ 'Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?' (6)
Therefore, فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ‎﴿٩﴾ 'So as for the orphan, do not oppress.'(9)

Second: وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ ‎﴿٧﴾ 'Did He not find you astray, ...

There’s a saying I heard a lot growing up about someone who had hit rock bottom. Instead, they were described as being 'between a rock and a hard place.'

To our brothers and sisters in Gaza:

By the late morning, when your scars and pain are visible for all to see.
By the night, as it covers your tears, its stillness giving you the space to break down.

Here you are, at rock bottom.
Amongst the rubble.
Between a rock and a hard place.
Wondering ...

Do you get the feeling, that when speaking to a person who is sad, devastated, depressed and broken, you dont know what to say?
I get that feeling a lot. I often hesitate to call someone who has lost a loved one to death etc. I am scared, i dont know what to say. What can someone say to someone who is so sad? You can easily end up saying the wrong thing and make their condition even worse.

Surah duha is so beautiful in this. It is Allahs way of ...

When this blessed Surah was revealed, the first light of dawn must have shimmered with newfound meaning for the Companions. celestial play of night and day had continued since time immemorial—a spectacle witnessed by all—when Allah SWT specifically referenced these signs for His Beloved صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, their very essence transformed. The eyes remained the same, but the 'vision' was illuminated.

Through these very signs, Allah SWT lovi...
