On the phrase 'man a'Taa', the one who gives.

What he gives is not specified. Giving of wealth is the obvious answer but it could be much more than that. The truly good person will be a giving person, He will give from whatever rizq Allah has provided him, and rizq is not just wealth.
The one Allah has given wealth should give from it.
The one Allah has given the blessing of time, should give from it to others.
The one Allah has blessed with go...

The good person in these ayat is described as the one who does three things: he is a giving person, he is fearful/conscious of Allah, and he confirms the beautiful truth.
It leads me to think about the concept of being a 'good' person in the world in general.
More and more people in the world are resorting to being 'morally good' and not 'religious'. I have heard too many times, people saying that 'I do not need religion to be a good person.'

Bu...

Allah offers us an exemplary model to show us the what the best one who strives for looks like.
They give what is due upon them from Allah, and spend any extra resources they have for Allah's sake. And in addition to actively spreading good, they minimize evil by being cognizant of Allah and avoiding the sins that He prohibited.

There is a well-known principle known as the Pareto principle, which is more commonly known as the '80-20 rule,' or sometimes also called the 'Law of the Vital Few.' It has applications in many different fields, including business and economics, of course.

At its core, the idea is that if there is a project, a problem, or something that you want to complete successfully, you have to first identify what are the few vital or the strongest areas t...

My grandma took pictures often,
Usually on a disposable camera. The kind you had to buy film for and take to Walgreens (a convenience store, for my international friends) to get developed and printed.

Some pictures turned out blurry. Some were blank.
Others were just… bad.
But they got printed anyway.
Because back then, we didn’t edit our memories.
We let them be.
Even the imperfect ones told the story of that day. So we kept them.

I want to ...

Bismillah

These verses remind me that true generosity is not just about giving, but about the state of my heart when I give. It’s easy to help others out of kindness, habit, or even social responsibility—but do I give with consciousness of Allah, knowing that my charity is ultimately for Him?

'Wa-ttaqā' (and fears Allah) makes me reflect: do I see charity as just a good deed, or do I see it as an act of faith, a means of drawing closer to my C...

After br @Abdelminem posted about these verses , I've been thinking about them here and there.

So I finally got a chance to ask Dr Akram Kassab about the understanding of these verses, with regards to my concern
Suppose I do give in charity (اعطى) , and I truly believe Islam is right and believe that His reward is excellent.
But I can't say for sure that I have taqwa , so do I even qualify for this?

So he recited the verse from surah Muham...
