يَٰٓأَيُّهَا

ٱلَّذِينَ

ءَامَنُواْ

مَا

لَكُمۡ

إِذَا

قِيلَ

لَكُمُ

ٱنفِرُواْ

فِي

سَبِيلِ

ٱللَّهِ

ٱثَّاقَلۡتُمۡ

إِلَى

ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ

أَرَضِيتُم

بِٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

مِنَ

ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ

فَمَا

مَتَٰعُ

ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ

ٱلدُّنۡيَا

فِي

ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ

إِلَّا

قَلِيلٌ

٣٨

O believers! What is the matter with you that when you are asked to march forth in the cause of Allah, you cling firmly to ˹your˺ land?¹ Do you prefer the life of this world over the Hereafter? The enjoyment of this worldly life is insignificant compared to that of the Hereafter.

O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allāh, you adhere heavily to the earth?¹ Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little.

O die ihr glaubt, was ist mit euch, daß, wenn zu euch gesagt wird: Rückt aus auf Allahs Weg!, ihr euch schwer zur Erde sinken laßt? Seid ihr mit dem diesseitigen Leben mehr zufrieden als mit dem Jenseits? Aber der Genuß des diesseitigen Lebens wird im Jenseits nur gering (erscheinen).
