تعرج الملايكة والروح اليه في يوم كان مقداره خمسين الف سنة ٤
تَعْرُجُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِى يَوْمٍۢ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُۥ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍۢ ٤
تَعۡرُجُ
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
وَٱلرُّوحُ
إِلَيۡهِ
فِي
يَوۡمٖ
كَانَ
مِقۡدَارُهُۥ
خَمۡسِينَ
أَلۡفَ
سَنَةٖ
٤
˹through which˺ the angels and the ˹holy˺ spirit1 will ascend to Him on a Day fifty thousand years in length.2

They say time heals all wounds. That is true, because bit by bit, with time, we tend to forget the pain & suffering. But what if instead of forgetting, we remembered instead? Instead of time healing all wounds, time becomes the torture device that opens all wounds. What if that time lasted 50,000 years? That is what Allah mentions of the duration of the day of judgement.

Bismillah,
When I read these verses together, I’m struck by how easily the human heart slips into denial. How often I live as though accountability is distant, as though the warnings of Allah are far-off events, irrelevant to my present.
Someone questioned, even mocked, the reality of Allah’s punishment — thinking it was uncertain, or a distant future. Maybe I don’t say these words aloud, but in my actions, I sometimes carry the same attitude....See more

ارشاد باری تعالی ہے:
تَعْرُجُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِى يَوْمٍۢ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ (سورۃ المعارج، آیت 4)
'فرشتے اور روح (جبریل) اُس کی طرف چڑھتے ہیں ایسے دن میں جس کی مقدار پچاس ہزار سال ہے۔'
احادیث سے یہ بات معلوم ہوتی ہے کہ قیامت کے دن کی مدت پچاس ہزار سال ہوگی۔ یہی وہ دن ہوگا جس میں کافروں کو یقیناً عذاب دیا جائے گا۔ یہ عذاب بلندیوں کے مالک کی طرف سے ہوگا اور کوئی طاقت کافروں کو اس عذاب سے بچا نہ سکے گی۔ ...See more
