When it is said to them, “Come to Allah’s revelations and to the Messenger,” they reply, “What we found our forefathers practicing is good enough for us.” ˹Would they still do so,˺ even if their forefathers had absolutely no knowledge or guidance?

Na hawa makafiri, wanaoharamisha yaliyohalalishwa na Mwenyezi Mungu, wanapoambiwa, «Njooni kwenye hukumu zilizoteremshwa na Mwenyezi Mungu na uwamuzi wa Mtume Wake, ili halali na haramu ziwafunukie, wao huwa wakisema, «Yanatutosha yale tuliyoyarithi kwa baba zetu ya maneno na vitendo.» Je wanayasema hayo ingawa baba zao walikuwa hawajui chochote: yaani, hawaielewi haki, hawaitambui wala hawaongoki kuifikia? Basi vipi watawafuata na hali ni hii? Kwa kweli, hakuna mwenye kuwafuata isipokua mjinga zaidi kuliko wao na mpotevu zaidi wa njia.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
