He is the One Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days,1 then established Himself on the Throne. He knows whatever goes into the earth and whatever comes out of it, and whatever descends from the sky and whatever ascends into it. And He is with you wherever you are.2 For Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne.1 He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you2 wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.

He merges the night into day and the day into night. And He knows best what is ˹hidden˺ in the heart.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and donate from what He has entrusted you with. So those of you who believe and donate will have a mighty reward.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successive inheritors. For those who have believed among you and spent,1 there will be a great reward.

— Saheeh International

Why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger is inviting you to have faith in your Lord, although He has already taken your covenant,1 if you will ever believe.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?

— Saheeh International

He is the One Who sends down clear revelations to His servant to bring you out of darkness and into light. For indeed Allah is Ever Gracious and Most Merciful to you.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muḥammad (ﷺ)] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.

And why should you not spend in the cause of Allah, while Allah is the ˹sole˺ inheritor of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who donated and fought before the victory ˹over Mecca˺ are unparalleled. They are far greater in rank than those who donated and fought afterwards.1 Yet Allah has promised each a fine reward. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, of what you do, is Aware.

Who is it that will lend to Allah a good loan which Allah will multiply ˹many times over˺ for them, and they will have an honourable reward?1

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?

— Saheeh International

On that Day you will see believing men and women with their light shining ahead of them and on their right. ˹They will be told,˺ “Today you have good news of Gardens, under which rivers flow, ˹for you˺ to stay in forever. This is ˹truly˺ the ultimate triumph.”

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.

— Saheeh International

On that Day hypocrite men and women will beg the believers, “Wait for us so that we may have some of your light.” It will be said ˹mockingly˺, “Go back ˹to the world˺ and seek a light ˹there˺!” Then a ˹separating˺ wall with a gate will be erected between them. On the near side will be grace and on the far side will be torment.1

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you1 and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment.

— Saheeh International

The tormented will cry out to those graced, “Were we not with you?” They will reply, “Yes ˹you were˺. But you chose to be tempted ˹by hypocrisy˺, ˹eagerly˺ awaited ˹our demise˺, doubted ˹the truth˺, and were deluded by false hopes until Allah’s decree ˹of your death˺ came to pass. And ˹so˺ the Chief Deceiver1 deceived you about Allah.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

They [i.e., the hypocrites] will call to them [i.e., the believers], "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves1 and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver [i.e., Satan] deceived you concerning Allah.
