And We have sent down to you the Book with the Truth, sincerely verifying whatever of the Book that was before it, (Literally: between its two hands) and Supremely Hegemonic over it. So judge between them according to what Allah has sent down, and do not ever follow their prejudices away from the Truth that has come to you. To every one of you We have made a legislation and a program. And if Allah had so decided, He would indeed have made you one nation; but (He did not) that He may try you in what He has brought you. So race with each other in the charitable (deeds); to Allah will be your return, altogether; so He will fully inform you of that wherein you used to differ.

And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Quran) in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it and Mohayminan (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (old Scriptures). So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allah willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so strive as in a race in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to Allah; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.

Then We revealed the Book to you (O Muhammad!) with Truth, confirming
whatever of the Book was revealed before,8 and protecting and guarding
over it.9 Judge, then, in the affairs of men in accordance with
the Law that Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires in disregard
of the Truth which has come to you. For each of you We have appointed a Law
and a way of life.0 And had Allah so willed, He would surely have
made you one single community; instead, (He gave each of you a Law and a way
of life) in order to test you by what He gave you. Vie, then, one with another
in good works. Unto Allah is the return of all of you; and He will then make
you understand the truth concerning the matters on which you disagreed.1

And unto thee have We revealed the Scripture with the truth, confirming whatever Scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which hath come unto thee. For each We have appointed a divine law and a traced-out way. Had Allah willed He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are). So vie one with another in good works. Unto Allah ye will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein ye differ.

And We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method.1 Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good.2 To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ.

To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute;

Et sur toi (Mohammad) Nous avons fait descendre le Livre avec la vérité, pour confirmer le Livre qui était là avant lui et pour prévaloir sur lui. Juge donc parmi eux d’après ce qu’Allah a fait descendre. Et ne suis pas leurs passions, loin de la vérité qui t’est venue. A chacun de vous Nous avons assigné une législation et une voie à suivre. Si Allah avait voulu, certes Il aurait fait de vous tous une seule communauté. Mais Il veut vous éprouver en ce qu’Il vous donne. Concurrencez donc dans les bonnes œuvres. C’est vers Allah qu’est votre retour à tous; alors Il vous informera de ce en quoi vous divergiez .
French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah)
Wij hebben u ook het boek, den Koran, gezonden, met waarheid, bevestigende de schrift, welke te voren was geopenbaard en dat haar voor verminking behoedt. Richt dus tusschen hen, overeenkomstig hetgeen God heeft geopenbaard, en volgt hunne begeerten niet, door van de waarheid af te dwalen, die u is geworden. Ieder uwer hebben wij eene wet gegeven en een open weg. En indien het Gode had behaagd, zou hij zeker één volk van u hebben gemaakt; maar hij heeft uwe getrouwheid willen beproeven, nopens de inachtneming van hetgeen hij u heeft gegeven. Streeft er dus naar, elkander in goede daden te overtreffen. Gij zult allen tot God terugkeeren en dan zal hij u datgene verklaren, waarover gij getwist hebt.

Vi har åpenbart for deg skriften med sannheten, for å stadfeste skriften som tidligere forelå, og til bekreftelse. Så døm mellom folk ved det Gud har åpenbart, og følg ikke deres forestillinger til fortrengsel for den sannhet som du har mottatt. Hver og en har Vi gitt en norm og en praksis! Om Gud hadde villet, kunne Han gjort dere til et samlet trossamfunn, men Han ønsket å stille dere på prøve ved det Han har gitt dere. Så kappes i å gjøre det gode! Til Gud skal dere alle vende tilbake. Han vil redegjøre for det dere var uenige om.

My tobie również zesłaliśmy Księgę z prawdą, potwierdzając prawdziwość Księgi, która była przed nią, i chroniąc ją. Sądź więc między nimi według tego, co zesłał Bóg, i nie idź za ich namiętnościami, odstępując od tego, co otrzymałeś z prawdy. Dla każdego z was uczyniliśmy normę i drogę otwartą. A gdyby Bóg zechciał, to uczyniłby was jednym narodem, lecz... żeby was doświadczyć w tym, co wam dał. Starajcie się więc pilnie czynić dobre dzieła. Do Boga powrócicie wszyscy razem. On obwieści wam to, w czym się różniliście.

[Muhammad!] Vi har uppenbarat Koranen för dig med sanningen, som bekräftar det som består av [äldre tiders] uppenbarade Skrifter och vars uppgift det är att vaka över det. Döm mellan dem [som följer dessa Skrifter] på grundval av det som Gud har uppenbarat [för dig] och ge inte efter för deras önskningar [som står i strid] med den sanning som du har fått ta emot. För var och en av er har Vi fastställt en lag och en levnadsregel. Om Gud hade velat hade Han helt visst gjort er till ett enda samfund, men det var Hans vilja att sätta er på prov genom det som Han har skänkt er. Tävla därför med varandra om att göra gott! Till Gud skall ni alla vända åter och Han skall upplysa er om allt det som ni var oense om.

Apresúrense a realizar obras de bien, porque todos comparecerán ante Dios, y Él les informará acerca de lo que discrepaban.

Te hemos revelado la Escritura con la Verdad, en confirmación y como custodia de lo que ya había de la Escritura. Decide, pues, entre ellos según lo que Alá ha revelado y no sigas sus pasiones, que te apartan de la Verdad que has recibido. A cada uno os hemos dado una norma y una vía. Alá, si hubiera querido, habría hecho de vosotros una sola comunidad, pero quería probaros en lo que os dio. ¡Rivalizad en buenas obras! Todos volveréis a Alá. Ya os informará Él de aquello en que discrepabais.

Kdyby byl Bůh chtěl, byl by vás věru učinil národem jediným, avšak neučinil tak proto, aby vás vyzkoušel tím, co vám dal. Předstihujte se vzájemně v konání dobrých skutků! K Bohu se uskuteční návrat vás všech, a On vás poučí o tom, o čem jste byli v rozporu.
