Al-Hujurat 49:7 واعلموا ان فيكم رسول الله لو يطيعكم في كثير من الامر لعنتم ولاكن الله حبب اليكم الايمان وزينه في قلوبكم وكره اليكم الكفر والفسوق والعصيان اولايك هم الراشدون ٧
وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
أَنَّ
فِيكُمۡ
رَسُولَ
ٱللَّهِۚ
لَوۡ
يُطِيعُكُمۡ
فِي
كَثِيرٖ
مِّنَ
ٱلۡأَمۡرِ
لَعَنِتُّمۡ
وَلَٰكِنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
حَبَّبَ
إِلَيۡكُمُ
ٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ
وَزَيَّنَهُۥ
فِي
قُلُوبِكُمۡ
وَكَرَّهَ
إِلَيۡكُمُ
ٱلۡكُفۡرَ
وَٱلۡفُسُوقَ
وَٱلۡعِصۡيَانَۚ
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
هُمُ
ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَ
٧
And keep in mind that Allah’s Messenger is ˹still˺ in your midst. If he were to yield to you in many matters, you would surely suffer ˹the consequences˺.1 But Allah has endeared faith to you, making it appealing in your hearts. And He has made disbelief, rebelliousness, and disobedience detestable to you. Those are the ones rightly guided.

And know that among you is the Messenger of Allāh. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allāh has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
النَّبِىُّ أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ
(The Prophet is closer to the believers than themselves) (33:6). Then He clarifies that they fall short in overseeing their own benefit;
لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِى كَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الاٌّمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ
(7 cont. - If he were to obey you in much of the matter
