ليغفر لك الله ما تقدم من ذنبك وما تاخر ويتم نعمته عليك ويهديك صراطا مستقيما ٢
لِّيَغْفِرَ لَكَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنۢبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَٰطًۭا مُّسْتَقِيمًۭا ٢

so that Allah may forgive you for your past and future shortcomings,1 perfect His favour upon you, guide you along the Straight Path,

If you read the reason and time that this verse was revealed, it is very hopeful.
This verse was revealed at a time where the Muslims thought that they suffered a loss by signing a treaty with the people of makkah.
If you were to look at it , you would think the Muslims were definitely losing in this treaty.
