A few months ago, I listened to a khutbah by Shaykh Omar Suleiman in which he spoke about how the Sahaba spiritually prepared themselves for the trials they would one day face. He mentioned that long before the battlefield, they were already present in their moments of struggle — and it was from that inner preparation that their real strength emerged when the trials finally arrived.

Inspired by this, I began practicing spiritual readiness for an...

Travelling is a profound way to connect with Allah’s signs.

I don’t just mean visiting historical landmarks or witnessing breathtaking natural wonders, but the very act of travelling itself.

Travelling is, without doubt, a privilege, especially cross-border, as many do not have the liberty or means to do so.

Boarding a plane, settling into your seat, placing your bag in the overhead compartment, and buckling up in preparation for this enormou...

I think it's appropriate to say this when using LLMs
سبحان الذي سخر لنا هذا وما كنا له مقرنين

Just as we say it when we board an airplane that we put together but who taught us aerodynamics? We wouldn't have been able to put it together without that knowledge, that Allah taught us, just as we wouldn't be able to put together AI language models without having learned from Allah's own creation, neural networks.

The three pillars of Gratitude:

Allah Almighty in this Ayah of Surah Zukhruf, He showed us how to be grateful for His blessing and it represents the all three pillars
1-
لِتَسْتَوُوا عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْه

That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them

2- وَتَقُولُوا سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا ...

In the Name of Allah the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,

We live in an era of fast changing technological advancement. So many changes it is often hard to keep up with the latest gadget.

These ayats caused for me to stop and reflect earlier today. How often are we thankful for everything we have in our possession? Before modern technology we required animals for transportation and they helped carry loads that helped mankind build big bu...

LAA HOWLA WALAQUWATTA ILLA BILLAH

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا
لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ

Glory be to Him who has brought this under our control whereas we were unable to control it. Surely we are to return to Him.

How many of us are taking the opportunity of riding as a means to thank and glorify Allah....

How many of us are drinking or eating to glorify and praise Allah...

Are we really...

SubhanAllah. This ayah says that it is Him who enabled all forms of travelling, the traveler can easily die, he is especially vulnerable.
We all know how many people die in car accidents, aeroplane crashes etc.
Whenever we survive unscathed from travel, it is from the mercy of Allah, and it is a temporary gift from Him to enjoy our life till a certain time.
It is the default state of a mode of travel to sink/crash, it is the mercy of Allah that ...
