You will see the angels all around the Throne, glorifying the praises of their Lord, for judgment will have been passed on all with fairness. And it will be said,1 “Praise be to Allah—Lord of all worlds!”

When I begin the Qur’an with الحمد لله رب العالمين (Al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-ʿālamīn), Ifeel that I am being taught how to speak to my Creator. These are not ordinary words — they are the very words Allah selected for Himself. Ibn ʿAbbās explained that Allah opened His Book with al-ḥamdu lillāh because He loves it and chose it as the most complete form of praise. Mujāhid said that every type of praise belongs to Allah, no one else shares in it...See more

Just imagine the looks on the faces of evil oppressors when they see their victims on the Day of Judgment, wearing crowns and gems, surrounded by Angels, being treated like royalty.
Meanwhile the oppressor will be drowning in his own sweat, unable to stop shaking out of fear of his day in God's court.
In the future you won't have to imagine it. You will see this scene with your own two eyes.

1. The Quran as the driving force to this Ummah's victory '...هي أقوم ...'
'Surely this Quran guides to what is most upright, and gives good news to the believers—who do good—that they will have a mighty reward..(9)' '...but if you return ˹to sin˺, We will return ˹to punishment˺. And We have made Hell a ˹permanent˺ confinement for the disbelievers.' (8)

In surah Az-Zumar, Allah addresses the human beings who have not just done wrong but have 'transgressed' against themselves. What amazes me is the way He calls these people. He says, ' يَٰعِبَادِىَ - My slaves'. Just this word- يَٰعِبَادِىَ melts my heart. This word is full of love, care and compassion. After doing wrong, people or society and sometime we disown ourselves or runaway. But this ayah show that no matter how badly I mess up, Allah ...See more
I remember when I went for my Youth Service Corps program as a fresh graduate in Nigeria. I was posted to an Islamic school. I have always been a Muslim, but I couldn't call myself a consistent practicing one as of then. The way the students and teachers acted changed something in me.
They prayed at the right time; the female teachers covered themselves from head to toe, and the men dressed according to the Prophet's instructions. Everything wa...See more
See more
