To come to the home of peace, a place where there is no sadness, sickness, death, trials or pain, I see the connection to come to God with a heart at peace.

A heart that can find peace amidst the storms and trials of life through trusting in A Loving Creator and cleansing the heart of all the diseases that it can become exposed to.

Cleansing the heart through constant thikr, prayer, recitation, dua, forgiveness, service and ultimately love.

When we study the life of Ibrahim AS, as related to us by Allah SWT, we find a tender-hearted Prophet who is concerned about one critical issue. How do I get people to abandon false gods, and invite them to the worship of Allah alone?  All he ever wanted was for his people and humanity at large to believe in the truth, abandon idols and other forms of shirk. And in order to fulfil this mission he set out-from a young age -calling people to Tawhee...See more

The 99 Names of Allah

We all understand 'salaam' to mean peace, but this word has a number of dimensions, and they all relate to God's Name as-Salaam. The root s-l-m also means to be free from defect. As human beings, we try to seek and create what is flawless because we have a natural affinity t...See more

In the later part of the Quran , Allah begins to tell us in depth about The Hereafter. This is not a coincidence.

It is as if reading the Quran is like the extent of your life. You begin with strong belief in Allah and understand His rules.

Then you learn to implement those rules by reading about the prophets, you also learn how to return to Allah after breaking some of these commandments, as we all make mistakes.

And then your life comes t...

In Surah Saaffat verses 83-109 contrast how Prophet Ibrahim AS was treated by his father and how Ibrahim AS as a father dealt with his son.

The elders are vexed by Ibrahim AS incessant preaching of one God and desire to keep worshiping idols.

This reminds me of generational differences and also generational trauma due to ungodly, ill informed elder-youth relations. In particular, the father - son relationship. Many young Muslim men today have ...
