He knows — subḥānahu wa taʿālā — That were not able to worship him, perfectly, sincerely, with out flaws.
Isn’t it ironic? We’re set apart by our deen — we carry it like a flag, we walk with it, speak with it, breathe with it. We follow it sincerely. But sincerity doesn’t always mean strength. And effort doesn’t always mean consistency.

Reflection: Whilst the Almighty Allah is the All-Merciful (الرحمن), why not turn back to Him now, and continue to do so, whilst we are forever slippers/fault-doers/sinners (مخطئون). Furthermore, He is the Most-Forgiving (الغفار).

These verses are a reminder of Allah's might and power. The very natural phenomenon that dictates a huge part of our human physiology (night and day-circadian rhythm). Our power is in submitting to his power. Control is an illusion.
