Alauddin Mansour
There is no compulsion in the religion; right-mindedness has already been evidently (distinct) from misguidance. So whoever disbelieves in the Taghut (i.e. false gods, idols, devils and seducers) and believes in Allah, then he has already upheld fast the most binding Grip, with no disjunction (ever); and Allah is Ever-Hearing, Ever-Knowing.

stands clearly distinguished from the wrong. Hence he who rejects the evil ones6

There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower.

There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt1 and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

Allah est le défenseur de ceux qui ont la foi: Il les fait sortir des ténèbres à la lumière. Quant à ceux qui ne croient pas, ils ont pour défenseurs les Rebelles ( Tâghût) , qui les font sortir de la lumière aux ténèbres. Voilà les gens du Feu, où ils demeurent éternellement.

Bůh je ochráncem těch, kdož uvěřili, a dal jim vyjít z temnot ke světlu. Avšak ochráncem těch, kdož neuvěřili, jsou Tághútové, kteří je vyvedou ze světla do temnot - a takoví budou ohně pekelného obyvateli a v něm budou nesmrtelní.

Allah is the Wali (Protector or Guardian) of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light. But as for those who disbelieve, their Auliya (supporters and helpers) are Taghut [false deities and false leaders, etc.], they bring them out from light into darkness. Those are the dwellers of the Fire, and they will abide therein forever.

Allah is The Ever-Patronizing Patron of (the ones) who have believed. He brings them out of the darknesses into the light. And for (the ones) who have disbelieved, their constant patrons are the Taghut (i.e. false gods, idols, devils and seducers) who bring them out of the light into the darknesses; those are the companions of the Fire; they are therein eternally (abiding).
