He cried, “No! Your souls must have tempted you to do something ˹evil˺. So ˹I am left with nothing but˺ beautiful patience!1 I trust Allah will return them all to me. Surely He ˹alone˺ is the All-Knowing, All-Wise.”

I don’t know why but every time I see my mother’s
grave الله يرحمها , I draw the simile to a child in the womb of its mother. The child isn’t able to communicate with its mother yet it depends on her. The mother feeds it, by feeding herself and takes care of all it’s needs by taking care of her own needs.

Now my mother الله يرحمها rests in her grave , confined in a space just like I was in her womb just a short while ago.

She can’t communic...

فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ

The adjective (الصِّفَة) used for patience (صبر) is 'beautiful'. How can patience be beautiful?
Patience is often associated with pain but to a believer patience is beauty because he views Dunya via the lense of the Quran. A believer knows that result of holding his nafs back and holding on to Allah will certainly be so beautiful that the patience asked from him is negligible in comparison.
The result will make you look back ...

Bismillah. Both '...Wa lā yaẓlimu rabbuka aḥadan' (18:49) and 'A-laysa Allāhu bi-aḥkami l-ḥākimīn' (95:8) affirm Allah’s justice, but they do so in distinct and complementary ways. Together, they affirm that Allah not only never wrongs anyone, but also judges with perfect wisdom — no injustice and no imperfection. One negates all injustice, the other declares the highest level of justice.

Connection between Surah Hud and Surah Yusuf.
'WORSHIP' and 'TAWAKKUL'
It was so amazing while reciting Quran, I noticed that ALLAH ended the surah Hud with the ayah of tawakkul and worshipping Him and then in start of the next surah which is surah Yusuf, mentioned it as the 'ahsan ul qasas/best of the stories'.

Because in this surah ALLAH mentioned the utmost tawakkul, patience and endless hope in ALLAH of Hazrat Yaqoob a.s,
and on the othe...

Which motivational speaker can teach you positivity better the motivational speach of the quran? After hearing his second favorite son is now missing as well, rather then become less hopeful, he was more hopeful in Allah SWT that both sons will be brought back. Indeed at the end of hardship, awaits ease.

An Islamic wisdom tells us 'No one experiencing sadness will read Surat Yusuf except that they will find relief'. So why Surat Yusuf ?

Amidst all the trials, heartbreak, lies and struggles, Prophet Yusuf continuously and consistently is described as from the 'muhsineen' (those who embody moral excellence).

His brothers throwing him into a well, his separation from his father for decades, his selling into slavery and his persecution in prison f...

No family is immune from complications, Allah will not give you or me a normal family. Wether you like it or not , there is gunna be some body who is trouble. That is just how Allah made us.

And sometimes you will even wonder how are u two are related.. it could be like that, but because Allah decided that you had to be around certain people in your life and they had to be your trial and you had to be theirs.....and
you are tied to them for li...

İn this captivating narrative, one constant element stands out – the 'qamis' (shirt). Notice how the story revolves around it, ultimately returning to this symbolic garment. Some commentators have aptly titled this surah 'Qassas al-Qamis' (The Story of the Shirt). While much has been said about this tale, I'd like to highlight an aspect that resonates with me.

Throughout Prophet Yusuf's (Aleyhisalam) life, the qamis itself, though falsely tainte...

Surat Yusuf:
This chapter reminds us that hardship come first and it is described through problems that Yusuf had from a young age. He was betrayed by his brother and separated from his dad, dumped in a well and found by slave-merchants, sold as a slave, and he was accused of adultery king's wife.

With all of this hardship one should remember that Yusuf was given a many blessings including physical beauty and special ability to translate dream...

The story of Yusuf (A.S.) and the events that Musa (A.S.) and Khidr (A.S.) encountered are my greatest means of finding solace through life's trials. Wa lillāhil Hamd. The story of Yusuf (A.S.) in particular, is one that I find myself reflecting back to over and over as I Journey, finding inspiration from various parts based on the particular circumstance or season of my life. This is the Surah that inspired my love for, and connection with the n...See more
