Allah replied, “O Noah! He is certainly not of your family—he was entirely of unrighteous conduct. So do not ask Me about what you have no knowledge of! I warn you so you do not fall into ignorance.”

ALLAH teaches us that our blood ties do not determine our kinship, imaan does.
ALLAH also teaches and warns us that our faith is not a guarantee.

In Surah Hud Nuh (as) pleaded to Allah to save his (as) son but Allah said that the son was not from his(as) family.
In as Saaffaat, Allah says He saved Nuh(as) and his(as) family.

Someone's ancestor may be a bloodthirsty Mongol in the 12th century but along the way, he became a muslim and his de...

The first time you meet someone, you may define them by how they look. But over time, what truly defines them is their interaction with you. Even if someone is strikingly handsome, if his attitude is poor, no beauty can cover up his behavior.

Think of courtship: we feel as though we love the person with all our heart, even to the point of sacrifice. Yet after marriage, when daily interaction reveals the reality of their character, we learn that ...

The Parenting Nightmare
While reflecting on Quran 18:77 and Verse 82, I had a profound realization: If not all, then most parents' greatest concern is the fate of their children, both in this world and in the hereafter. Any responsible parent is willing to sacrifice as much as possible for the betterment of their children. We work hard to put food on the table, and when opportunities arise, we instinctively think about how they might benefit our ...

This ayah drives the point home that absolutely nothing will save us except for our sincere attempt for righteousness and Allah's mercy. A righteous person may plea for our sake and we still cannot count on that being our salvation. This person's father - Nuh (as) - was a prophet, among the most righteous of all that has ever been created, and he pleaded with Allah and his son's behalf. It wasn't enough to save this person.

How can we delude ou...

My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking You about what I have no knowledge of, and unless You forgive me and have mercy on me, I will be one of the losers.' (Hud:: 47)

Linguistic Meanings:

Al-'Awdh' (العَوذ)

Seeking refuge and protection in someone else. When we seek Allah’s protection we refer to this as 'Isti’adhah' (seeking refuge) which means:  To flee from something one fears to someone who can protect them from it.

Before going into ...

Day 12, Answer 12, #AyahLookup Challenge

One of the biggest trials and tribulations, indeed,
Parents take bullets for their children,
They give us sleep,
They give up food,
They give up convenience and peace of mind,
All for their children's safety and security, both in the physical and spiritual sense,

And to witness the demise of your own son in front of your own eyes, is definitely a big test!
And you know that death for him is not ...

#QuranWeeklyDose #AllahLoves

Allah Loves those who continuously repent to Him.

Al Baqarah : 222 started off our Weekly Quran Dose (Week 3).
I admired Ustadz Mohannad's modesty as he shyly commented on the topic at hand.
For a lesson to be taught Allah SWT, the most supreme Teacher, spared no feelings.

Allah SWT talks about the most intimate relations to teach us to earn His Love by pursuing purity and also to constantly turn back in repentan...

'Do not ask me about what you have no knowledge of'. This is so humane of Noah. People ask, people do not understand. Allah advised him to not ask what he couldn’t understand, Allah didn’t punish him for asking or grieving. Noah is obviously trying to be patient but it seems to be a bit hard for him, totally humane. Noah was 'seeking refuge' from this kind of questions, yes it needs some sort of refuge to just surrender to Allah’s plans.
