'Do not ask me about what you have no knowledge of'. This is so humane of Noah. People ask, people do not understand. Allah advised him to not ask what he couldn’t understand, Allah didn’t punish him for asking or grieving. Noah is obviously trying to be patient but it seems to be a bit hard for him, totally humane. Noah was 'seeking refuge' from this kind of questions, yes it needs some sort of refuge to just surrender to Allah’s plans.
(فقال ربِّ إن ابني من أهلي) أي: وقد وعدتني بنجاة أهلي، ووعدك الحق الذي لا يخلف، فكيف غرق وأنت أحكم الحاكمين؟!
