At-Tawba 9:34 ۞ يا ايها الذين امنوا ان كثيرا من الاحبار والرهبان لياكلون اموال الناس بالباطل ويصدون عن سبيل الله والذين يكنزون الذهب والفضة ولا ينفقونها في سبيل الله فبشرهم بعذاب اليم ٣٤
۞ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
ٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
إِنَّ
كَثِيرٗا
مِّنَ
ٱلۡأَحۡبَارِ
وَٱلرُّهۡبَانِ
لَيَأۡكُلُونَ
أَمۡوَٰلَ
ٱلنَّاسِ
بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِ
وَيَصُدُّونَ
عَن
سَبِيلِ
ٱللَّهِۗ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
يَكۡنِزُونَ
ٱلذَّهَبَ
وَٱلۡفِضَّةَ
وَلَا
يُنفِقُونَهَا
فِي
سَبِيلِ
ٱللَّهِ
فَبَشِّرۡهُم
بِعَذَابٍ
أَلِيمٖ
٣٤
Enyi mlio amini! Hakika wengi katika makuhani na wamonaki wanakula mali za watu kwa baat'ili na wanazuilia Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na wanao kusanya dhahabu na fedha, wala hawazitumii katika Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, wabashirie khabari ya adhabu iliyo chungu. 1

As-Suddi said that the Ahbar are Jewish rabbis, while the Ruhban are Christian monks. This statement is true, for Ahbar are Jewish rabbis, just as Allah said,
