Al-Muuminun 23:83 لقد وعدنا نحن واباونا هاذا من قبل ان هاذا الا اساطير الاولين ٨٣
لَقَدۡ
وُعِدۡنَا
نَحۡنُ
وَءَابَآؤُنَا
هَٰذَا
مِن
قَبۡلُ
إِنۡ
هَٰذَآ
إِلَّآ
أَسَٰطِيرُ
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
٨٣
Tuliahidiwa haya sisi na baba zetu wa zamani. Hayakuwa haya ila ni visa vya uongo vya watu wa zamani.
Soma Tafsir
Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ
(And indeed We seized them with punishment,) means, `We tried and tested them with difficulties and calamities.' His saying:
فَمَا اسْتَكَانُواْ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
(but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke with submission to Him
