Al-Mu'minun 23:83 لقد وعدنا نحن واباونا هاذا من قبل ان هاذا الا اساطير الاولين ٨٣
لَقَدۡ
وُعِدۡنَا
نَحۡنُ
وَءَابَآؤُنَا
هَٰذَا
مِن
قَبۡلُ
إِنۡ
هَٰذَآ
إِلَّآ
أَسَٰطِيرُ
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
٨٣
Kjo na është premtuar ne edhe prindërve tanë më parë, po kjo nuk është gjë tjetër pos një mit i lashtë!

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ
(And indeed We seized them with punishment,) means, `We tried and tested them with difficulties and calamities.' His saying:
فَمَا اسْتَكَانُواْ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
(but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke with submission to Him
