Al-Ahqaf 46:21 ۞ واذكر اخا عاد اذ انذر قومه بالاحقاف وقد خلت النذر من بين يديه ومن خلفه الا تعبدوا الا الله اني اخاف عليكم عذاب يوم عظيم ٢١
۞ وَٱذۡكُرۡ
أَخَا
عَادٍ
إِذۡ
أَنذَرَ
قَوۡمَهُۥ
بِٱلۡأَحۡقَافِ
وَقَدۡ
خَلَتِ
ٱلنُّذُرُ
مِنۢ
بَيۡنِ
يَدَيۡهِ
وَمِنۡ
خَلۡفِهِۦٓ
أَلَّا
تَعۡبُدُوٓاْ
إِلَّا
ٱللَّهَ
إِنِّيٓ
أَخَافُ
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
عَذَابَ
يَوۡمٍ
عَظِيمٖ

En gedenkt de broeder van de 'Âd (de Profeet Hôed) toen hij zijn volk waarschuwde bij Al Ahqâf. En waarlijk, de waarschuwers vóór hen en na hen zijn heengegaan, (zij zeiden): "Aanbidt geen ander dan Allah, voorwaar, ik vrees voor jullie de bestraffing van een geweldige Dag."
