Al-Furqan 25:21 ۞ وقال الذين لا يرجون لقاءنا لولا انزل علينا الملايكة او نرى ربنا لقد استكبروا في انفسهم وعتوا عتوا كبيرا ٢١
۞ وَقَالَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
لَا
يَرۡجُونَ
لِقَآءَنَا
لَوۡلَآ
أُنزِلَ
عَلَيۡنَا
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
أَوۡ
نَرَىٰ
رَبَّنَاۗ
لَقَدِ
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ
فِيٓ
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
وَعَتَوۡ
عُتُوّٗا
كَبِيرٗا
٢١
E coloro che non sperano di incontrarci dicono: «Perché non sono stati fatti scendere angeli su di noi, [perché] non vediamo il nostro Signore?» 1. Hanno riempito di orgoglio le anime loro e travalicato i limiti dell’arroganza.

The Stubbornness of the Disbelievers
Allah describes how stubborn the disbelievers were in their disbelief when they said:
لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلاَ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا
(Why are the angels not sent down to us, meaning 'so that we may see them with our own eyes and they may tell us that Muhammad ﷺ is the Mess
