Az-Zukhruf 43:23 وكذالك ما ارسلنا من قبلك في قرية من نذير الا قال مترفوها انا وجدنا اباءنا على امة وانا على اثارهم مقتدون ٢٣
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
مَآ
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
مِن
قَبۡلِكَ
فِي
قَرۡيَةٖ
مِّن
نَّذِيرٍ
إِلَّا
قَالَ
مُتۡرَفُوهَآ
إِنَّا
وَجَدۡنَآ
ءَابَآءَنَا
عَلَىٰٓ
أُمَّةٖ
وَإِنَّا
عَلَىٰٓ
ءَاثَٰرِهِم
مُّقۡتَدُونَ

Ug sa ingon niana, Kami wala magpadala una kaninyo og bisan unsa nga tigpasidaan sa usa ka lungsod, gawas nga kadtong nagpuyo sa sayon nga mga pagkinabuhi niini miingon: "Sa pagkatinuod kami nakakaplag sa among mga amahan nga magsunod sa usa ka 'partikular' nga pamaagi, ug sa pagkatinuod kami magsunod sa ilang mga lakang."

The Idolators have no Proof
Allah condemns the idolators for worshipping others instead of Allah with no evidence or proof for doing so.
أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَهُمْ كِتَباً مِّن قَبْلِهِ
(Or have We given them any Book before this) means, before their idolatry.
فَهُم بِهِ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ
