If only you could see when they will be detained before the Fire! They will cry, “Oh! If only we could be sent back, we would never deny the signs of our Lord and we would ˹surely˺ be of the believers.”

يقول تعالى -مخبرا عن حال المشركين يوم القيامة، وإحضارهم النار:. { وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَى النَّارِ } ليوبخوا ويقرعوا، لرأيت أمرا هائلا، وحالا مفظعة. ولرأيتهم كيف أقروا على أنفسهم بالكفر والفسوق، وتمنوا أن لو يردون إلى الدنيا. { فَقَالُوا يَا لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ)
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
