˹We instructed him:˺ “O David! We have surely made you an authority in the land, so judge between people with truth. And do not follow ˹your˺ desires or they will lead you astray from Allah’s Way. I have read the story of Dawud Alahis salaam and the test that he underwent regarding his judgement for the possession of sheep. Initially, I did not quite understand it very well if I am being honest, I wanted to understand it better in order to apply the lessons here.
