Few days ago, my car got stuck on a gutter. Out of nowhere, two men appeared and helped my family. SubhanAllah, it made me reflect on how often we belittle small good deeds. This ayah reminds us that worship is not limited to praying salah or giving zakat - in Islam, even the tiniest act of kindness is rewarded by Allah SWT when done with sincerity.

The 2 surahs are back to back and have interesting contrasting verses.
Surah Al kawthar starts by mentioning Allahs generosity in giving the Prophet Mohammad SAW the abundant goodness. Surah al Maun on the other hand starts by mentioning the oppisite virtue of generosity, stinginess! It does so by mentioning the one who pushes away orphans and doesnt help feed the need.
