شبِ قدر وہ بابرکت رات ہے جس میں قرآن نازل کیا گیا۔ نزولِ قرآن کا یہ عظیم واقعہ اسی رات پیش آیا، جس نے اس رات کو بھی برکت بخشی اور اس سے جڑی ہر چیز کو رفعت عطا کی خواہ وہ مہینہ ہو (رمضان) یا خود وہ رات (لیلۃ القدر)۔

قرآن جس چیز سے بھی وابستہ ہوا، اسے عزت اور شرف بخشا۔ اس رات کا ہزار مہینوں سے بہتر ہونا دراصل قرآن کی برکتوں کی وسعت کا محض ایک ہلکا سا اشارہ ہے۔ اسی مفہوم کی طرف اللہ تعالیٰ اس آیت میں رہنمائی فرماتے ہیں

"اور (اب) یہ کتاب ہم نے نازل کی ہے بڑی بابرکت تو تم اس کی پیروی کرو اور تقویٰ اختیار کرو تاکہ تم پر رحم کیا جائے" (سورۃ الانعام 6:155)

یہ بات ہمیں یاد دلاتی ہے کہ جب قرآن ہماری زندگی میں شامل ہو جاتا ہے اور ہم اسے اپنی زندگی کا رہنما بنانے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں، تو اللہ نہ صرف ہمیں بلکہ ہمارے مقاصد اور ارادوں کو بھی برکت عطا فرماتا ہے۔
آئیے اس رمضان میں اس موقع کو غنیمت جانیں کہ ہم اللہ کی کتاب سے مضبوط تعلق قائم رکھیں، تاکہ ہم اپنے گھروں اور دوسروں کے لیے بھی باعثِ برکت بن سکیں اور اپنی زندگیوں میں اللہ کی رحمت کو دعوت دے سکیں۔

اللہ تعالیٰ ہمیں ان آخری چند غیر معمولی اور عظمت والی راتوں کا حق ادا کرنے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے۔ آمین۔

یاد رکھیں: تدبر کریں، تاکہ یاد دہانی حاصل ہو۔

One Night Can Change Everything

The last ten nights of Ramadan have begun.

These nights are different.

They carry a quiet weight… a sacred opportunity… a moment where destinies can shift.

Among them is a night that Allah describes with unimaginable value:

“The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.” (Qur’an 97:3)

A thousand months is more than 83 years.

One night of sincere worship…
better than a lifetime of ordinary effort.

This is the beauty of Allah’s mercy. Our lives are short, but He gives us moments where the reward becomes immense.

Maybe this Ramadan you feel like you didn’t do enough.

Maybe the first twenty days were not what you hoped.

But Allah, in His mercy, placed the most powerful nights at the end.

It’s like a door opening when you thought your chance was almost gone.

Laylatul Qadr is not about perfection.

It’s about sincerity.

A simple dua whispered with a broken heart can be heavier than long prayers done without presence.

On this night:

Angels descend.
Mercy spreads.
Duas rise to the heavens.

Destinies for the coming year are written.

Imagine if tonight your hardship is lifted.
Imagine if your sins are forgiven.
Imagine if a dua you’ve carried for years is finally accepted.

All because of one sincere moment between you and Allah.

So don’t approach these nights casually.

Turn off the distractions.
Sit with the Qur’an.
Raise your hands in dua.
Ask Allah for everything your heart carries.

Because sometimes life doesn’t change slowly.

Sometimes it changes in one night.

And Allah, in His mercy, gave you ten chances to find it.

These nights are not ordinary.

They are an invitation from the Most Merciful.

Don’t let them pass like any other night.

Because one of them might be the night that changes your destiny forever. 

~The Ehsaan of ALLAH ~

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَٰنُ.(55:60)
'Is there any reward for goodness other than goodness?'
~That is, is the reward of the one who does well in worshipping the Creator and showing kindness to His slaves anything other than that he will be treated well, rewarded greatly and granted the ultimate triumph, eternal blessing and a life of ease? [As-Sa'adi] 

Think for a moment, our best is according to our limited capacity, and we can't go beyond that because we are human. Now just imagine how would be the reward from ALLAH s.w.t as His إحسان (excellence, kindness, and generosity) in return, knowing that everything about Him is perfect and unlimited, boundless, beyond our imaginations. 
Lylat ul qadr is one of the great example of ALLAH's immense generosity, where the virtues of deeds are multiplied exponentially, as He says: 
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ. (97:3)
'The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.'
~That is, in its virtue it is equivalent to a thousand months, and deeds that are done on this night are better than deeds in a thousand months that do not contain this night. This is something that is utterly astounding and amazing, that Allah (s.w.t) has blessed this weak Ummah with a night on which good deeds are equivalent to and surpass a thousand months, which is the age of a man who lives for a very long time, eighty-odd years (more than 80 years/83years and 4months). [As-Sa'adi]

I have come to understand that we shouldn't despair when facing challenges or limitations physically or even spiritually, be it illness, weakness, or any other obstacle. Instead we should just keep reminding ourselves to do our best regarding pleasing ALLAH s.w.t in all our actions as much as we can and should know that even when faced with difficulties, our sincere efforts are highly valued by Allah, His mercy knows no bounds, and He rewards us generously for our intentions and deeds.
So we should hope in HIS infinite mercy and compassion towards us that no matter what, even if we do little and we are sincere, then have no doubt that the One who is the most merciful and generous of all will also reward us beyond measure according to His ehsaan in the return.

اللّٰهم بلغنا ليلة القدر... آمين
May ALLAH allow us to observe lylat ul Qadr, and help us and give us the strength to observe it and remaining days and night of Ramadan with our best.. aameen.

The night of Al-Qadr is equivalent to 1000 months, which is more than 82 years, which is more than the adult lifetime for the vast majority of people. How valuable is a single night that is equivalent to a lifetime of doing good? 

Start with spending most of your night read and reflecting on the Quran and in prayer, and potentially more good acts that you’d want the lifetime multiplier to apply to, maybe ones that you typically struggle with? Connecting with kinship? A kind word to someone you usually ignore or hurt? A smile? An extra charity? Anything else? All of the above? May Allah swt help us transform despite our weakness, may He swt put a lifetime of blessing into our deeds, especially the ones we struggle with.

It's the night of the 23rd of Ramadan in UAE.  

Maybe, just maybe, this is the night of destiny, Laylat al-Qadr. 
Perhaps, as I sit here, angels are descending from the heavens, led by Jibrael AS. 
 Who knows, as I write these words, my fate for the next year is being written.

 اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَعَافِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي 
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, keep me safe and grant me provision.

اَللّٰهُمَّ حَاسِبْنِىْ حِسَا بًا يَّسِيْرًا
O Allah! Take from me an easy reckoning.

As I sit here in contemplation,
I'm filled with awe and gratitude 
for the opportunity to witness this sacred night, 
to seek forgiveness, guidance, and blessings. 

I surrender to the will of the Almighty,
trusting in His wisdom and compassion.

 And as I offer my prayers, 
I am enveloped in a sense of peace, 
knowing that Allah hears the whispers of my soul 
and responds with boundless grace.

Perhaps Allah SWT blessed you with the reward for more than a thousand months for your very little struggle on Laylatul Qadr , but perhaps you needed just one more night for your salvation. 

And Allah is the Most merciful , Maybe He just wants to see how much effort you would put in

Reflections on Surah 97 - Laylat al-Qadr

Allah (swt) mentions that on this night the Arch angel Gabriel, the angel of revelation, graces the earth with his presence. This is an event of cosmic significance. He was the angel who was with every prophet as their confidant and their teacher, he is responsible for downloading the Qur`an in the heart of the prophet (saw). He isn't a regular creation of God, he is from the greatest of proofs of God's majesty - Ayat al-Kubra. 

It is in this blessed night, that he comes down, to check the status of the Qur`an in the lives of the lovers of Our`an. He was the one who revealed it and every year he comes to check up on the people of the Qur`an - Have they honoured this book and learnt devoutness through it? 

We ask Allah to make us of those that Gabriel is impressed with on his descent to earth this year.
