اللہ کے کلام میں بار بار کوشش کی بات ہے. یعنی زندگی میں اپنا قبلہ درست کرنے (توحید تک پہنچنے) کی کوشش، پھر قبلہ درست کرنے کے بعد اسلام کو ایمان تک اور ایمان کو درجہ احسان اور عبودیت تک پہنچانے کی سعی ہی صراط مستقیم پر سفر بن جاتی ہے.

انجام پر اختیار نہیں، سعی پر ہے. جو سمت پکڑ کر انسان رینگتا، چلتا، دوڑتا، اور پھر اڑتا ہے، وہ یا اللہ کی جانب لے جاتی ہے یا اللہ سے دور. پھر موت کے بعد اسی سمت میں چلتا ہوا انسان یا قرب کی منازل طے کرتا جنت الفردوس تک پہنچتا ہے، یا دوری کی منازل سے گزرتا جہنم تک.

اسلام، ایمان، احسان. 
قبلہ درست ہونا چاہیے. قبلہ ہے اللہ اور اس کی توحید. ایمان ہے تصدیق بالقلب، اور احسان ہے توحید کو، دین کو، دل کو، ذہن کو، وقت کو، حیات کو، محبت کو، توکل کو، عبادت کو، دعا کو، عبودیت کو، اللہ کے لیے خالص کر لینا.

ماشاءاللہ! بہت خوبصورت انداز میں کوشش اور صحیح سمت میں سفر کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا گیا ہے۔ واقعی، دین میں ترقی کا سفر اسلام سے ایمان اور پھر احسان تک پہنچنے کا نام ہے، اور یہی صراط مستقیم کی راہ ہے۔ اللہ ہمیں اپنی زندگی کو اسی مقصد کے تحت گزارنے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے۔ جزاکم اللہ خیراً اور قرآن کے ساتھ جڑنے کا یہ سلسلہ جاری رکھیں!  



𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴

إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا لِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا تَسْعَىٰ 

As one year ends and another begins, the passage of time becomes more apparent. 

Allah reminds us that 𝘵𝘩𝘦 Hour is approaching - not as something distant but as an inevitable reality.

There is urgency in this ayah. We are told that every soul will be repaid for what it strove for. Not what it wished for, but what it actively worked towards. Every second, every minute, every breath, every glance matters. Nothing is wasted, and nothing is overlooked.

As we count down to a new year, time itself is counting down towards the Hour. Whether we feel ready or not, the clock is always moving.

This ayah reminds me to pause and reflect:
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙢 𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧?
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨?

May Allah make our striving sincere, our time meaningful, and our deeds a source of success when we stand before Him.

MashaAllah I like how you have captured the sense of urgency in this verse. We are called to act with urgency and to strive for it accordingly in (Quran 17:19)
"But whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it accordingly, and is a ˹true˺ believer, it is they whose striving will be appreciated. May Allah make us among them. Amen 


Narrated 'Aisha: 
Once the Prophet (ﷺ) came while a woman was sitting with me. He said, 'Who is she?' I replied, 'She is so and so,' and told him about her (excessive) praying. He said disapprovingly, 'Do (good) deeds which is within your capacity (without being overtaxed) as Allah does not get tired (of giving rewards) but (surely) you will get tired and the best deed (act of Worship) in the sight of Allah is that which is done regularly.'

This is such a deeply powerful verse. Truly, we are all in the waiting room awaiting our turn and Allah is testing us how we are, how we act, what we do — while waiting our inevitable return to him.

And time—is a commodity that cannot be recouped. Even as I type this reflection the seconds are floating away— along with the action we just did.

Ah. May Allah help us all.

Reading your posted reflection resonates deeply with me, as I feel the same way about these verses. 
They are truly powerful and thought-provoking, and they remind me of life’s fleeting nature. 
The thought of being in the waiting room—where every moment is an opportunity to show who we are, how we act, and what we do before returning to Allah—is both humbling and profound.
It inspires a sense of urgency to make each moment meaningful and aligned with His guidance.

Time, indeed, is a gift we cannot recover once it slips away.
 Even as I think about these words, I realize how quickly the seconds pass, carrying our choices and deeds with them. 
The verse speaks to me of accountability—not in a way that feels daunting, but as a gentle reminder to focus on living intentionally and remembering our ultimate return.

May Allah help us all to use this precious time wisely, to act with sincerity, and to live with purpose as we navigate the tests and trials of life. Ameen.


Allah gives 20 different names for the Day of Judgement in the Quran! About this, Imam al-Qurtubi said:
'Anything that is great has a many descriptions and names; this was part of the oral tradition of the Arabs. Consider how important the sword is to them, and how beneficial they would consider it to be in their lives. They have five hundred names for it! Because of how important the Day of Resurrection is, and how plentiful its terrors are, Allah, the Exalted, called it by many names in His scripture, and mentioned many descriptions for it' (Source: at-Tadhkirah). 

وَأَنَا ٱخْتَرْتُكَ فَٱسْتَمِعْ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ ١٣

إِنَّنِىٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدْنِى وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكْرِىٓ ١٤

إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا لِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا تَسْعَىٰ ١٥
فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنْهَا مَن لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِهَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ فَتَرْدَىٰ ١٦

This morning, I was listening to these āyāt, and they touched my heart in a way I can hardly describe.

As I listened, I found myself imagining that sacred moment when Allah ﷻ spoke to Mūsā (عليه السلام)—a conversation so intimate, so personal, between the Lord of the worlds and His chosen servant. It felt like witnessing one of the most private moments in existence. Yet Allah ﷻ, in His immense mercy, chose to preserve that conversation in the Qur’an and share it with all of us.

When I reached āyah 13, something shifted within me. The words felt so alive, so direct, that for a moment I felt as though I were standing before Allah ﷻ myself, listening to Him speak. It was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. No words can truly capture what I felt.

It made me think about how, as human beings, we sometimes reserve certain words, moments, or gestures for people who are especially dear to us. Mūsā (عليه السلام) was chosen by Allah ﷻ, honored with a conversation unlike any other. Yet Allah ﷻ did not keep that moment hidden. He shared it with us, allowing generations of believers to hear those very words and reflect upon them.

And suddenly, a thought crossed my mind: perhaps this is also a sign of how much Allah ﷻ loves His servants. He wanted us to hear what He said to His beloved prophet, to learn from it, to be moved by it, and to find ourselves in those words. SubḥānAllāh, what an honor it is that we, too, were chosen to receive this Qur’an.

Today, āyah 13 didn't just feel like a verse I was reciting, it felt like a personal reminder from Allah ﷻ to my heart. 🥹🤍

MUSA (AS) IN WADI THUWA

Pay attention to the ayahs that the Imaam recites during Taraweeh.  Whichever verses you hear; that is YOUR Gift. 

Just like how Musa AS was Gifted with miracles during his meeting with Allah SWT; the verses you hear is meant for you. It may not be relevant at that moment but just like Musa's Gifts; it would come in handy when the right instance or the right circumstance presents itself.

The next time you recite Surah Al Taha in your Salah especially, or outside of it. Imagine yourself to be Musa ( Alayhi Assalaam) and replace your life story with his life story, 
Outside of Salah pretend to have that conversation and reflect and see how your Lord Has favored you and chosen you, and shaped you for who you are and then take on life with in mind.
I speak to myself with this reflection. May Allah Grant Wisdom to appreciate His favors upon us.

In the silent embrace of these sacred verses, my soul journeys through time, transcending the confines of the present moment. Surah Najm, a tapestry woven with divine testimony, unfurls before me, revealing the blessed encounter of Prophet Muhammad SAW with the celestial realms. I am but a humble spectator, transported to an era where the Prophet SAW stood as a witness to the descent of Jibril AS in the seventh heaven.

The words resonate, echoing the grandeur of that cosmic meeting. I may not witness as he did, yet the verses envelop me in the splendour of the Lote tree, standing sentinel at the edge of the universe. A profound serenity sweeps over my heart, as if I, too, stand in the proximity of my Lord. The strength, beauty, and noble character of the beloved Prophet unfold in the cosmic expanse, where Allah's greatest signs manifest.

These verses, a divine gift bestowed upon us from the wellsprings of Allah's love and mercy, grant a glimpse, a mere fraction, of the profound experience bestowed upon His chosen messenger SAW. SubhanAllah, the ascension of Prophet Muhammad SAW in Surah Najm becomes a conduit, guiding me to the sacred verses of Surah Taha.

Here, the narrative reveals—the meeting of Hazrat Musa AS with the Divine. Goosebumps ripple across my being as Allah's words reverberate, a cosmic conversation echoing through the ages. 'I am indeed your Lord,' the Creator declares, a revelation that ripples through the corridors of time. The admonition follows a gentle reminder not to be swayed by the disbelievers, whose hearts are tethered to fleeting desires.

O Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, grant us the strength to be worthy vessels of Your divine revelation. May our hearts be attuned to the celestial melodies that echo through the Quran, and may our souls be purified to receive the light of Your guidance.

Guide us, O Allah, on the path illuminated by the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad SAW and Hazrat Musa AS. Grant us the wisdom to discern distractions from the straight path and fortify our hearts against the allure of transient desires.

In our pursuit of knowledge and spiritual ascent, may we be granted the honour of standing in the ultimate meeting with You, the Lord of the Universe. Ameen

'Before a heart becomes diseased or dead, it becomes distracted'

I heard Imam Omar Suleiman say this in a lecture I was listening to yesterday. This prompted me to look up ayahs that contain the word 'distracted' (noted below).
