ان دونوں آیات میں اللہ تعالی کے دیدار کا مطالبہ ہے۔۔۔ لیکن اس کے اثرات اور نتائج  میں بہت بڑا فرق ہے۔
بنی اسرائیل گستاخانہ اور بےباکانہ مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ یٰمُوۡسٰی لَنۡ نُّؤۡمِنَ لَکَ حَتّٰی نَرَی اللّٰہَ جَہۡرَۃً ہم موسیٰ علیہ السلام کی تصدیق تب کریں گے جب اللہ کو علانیہ اور ظاہر طور پر دیکھ لیں۔ اور موسیٰ علیہ السلام کا رَبِّ اَرِنِیۡۤ اَنۡظُرۡ اِلَیۡکَ کہہ کر دیدار الٰہی کا سوال کرنا عاجزانہ اور مودبانہ انداز، ایک استدعا اور درخواست ہے۔ مطالبہ نہیں ہے بلکہ ایک والہانی اور عاشقانہ استدعاء جو سراسر محبت اور اشتیاق پر مبنی ہے۔ 
حضرت موسی علیہ السلام کو بلا واسطہ اللہ کی بات سننے سے عجیب جو محبت، انس اور شوق حاصل ہوا اسی کے اثر سے دل میں اللہ تعالی کے دیدار کا آرزو پیدا ہوئی تو بے ساختہ دیدار کے لیے درخواست کر دی تا کہ ایک نظر دیکھ سکیں۔ لیکن اللہ تعالی کو یہ بات خوب معلوم تھی کہ تجلیات کا پر تو ڈالوں گا تو نہ پہاڑ برداشت کر سکے گا نہ ہی موسی علیہ السلام۔ جیسا کہ پہلے ہی کہہ دیا قَالَ لَنۡ تَرٰىنِیۡ لیکن صرف اس لیے مزید کہہ دیا کہ حضرت موسی علیہ السلام کی دل شکنی نہ ہو۔ چنانچہ تجلی سے وہ پہاڑ ریزہ ریزہ ہو کر زمین بوس ہو گیا اور موسی علیہ السلام جو پاس کھڑے یہ منظر دیکھ رہے تھے اس دہشت سے بے ہوش کر گر پڑے۔ جب ہوش آیا تو پہلی بات یہ کی کہ میں نے ناجائز قسم کا مطالبہ کر دیا تھا اس سے توبہ کرتا ہوں، تیری عظمت و جلال کا اقرار کرتا ہوں اور اس بات پر ایمان لاتا ہوں کہ اس فانی دنیا میں اور ان فانی آنکھوں سے تیرا دیدار نا ممکن ہے۔ 
حضرت موسی علیہ السلام کی یہ خواہش شرح صدر اور اطمینان قلب حاصل کرنے کے لیے تھی اور بنی اسرائیل اس کو انکار اور تکذیب کا بہانہ بنانا چاہتے تھے۔ یہ خواہش حضرت موسی علیہ السلام کا اشتیاق اور محبت تھی جبکہ بنی اسرائیل اس جذبہ سے عاری تھے۔ 
حضرت موسی علیہ السلام کو مشاہدہ کرانے کے لیے اللہ تعالی نے اپنی تجلی جب پہاڑ پر ڈالی تو جس طرح پہاڑ پاش پاش ہو گیا اسی طرح بنی اسرائیل کے مطالبہ پر جب اس کی تجلی ظاہر ہوئی تو وہ صاعقہ کی شکل میں نمودار ہوئی۔ 
حضرت موسی علیہ السلام کے شوق، محبت اور ادب کی بنا اللہ تعالی نے ان کو ملامت نہ تو فرمائی اور نہ ان کی دل شکنی کی۔ جبکہ بنی اسرائیل کے لوگوں کا مطالبہ محض ان کی بے یقینی اور شک پرستانہ ذہنیت کا ایک مظاہرہ تھا اسی وجہ سے عذاب نے آ پکڑا۔ 
ایک ہی مطالبہ ہے لیکن فرق ہے اثرات میں۔۔۔ 
با ادب با نصیب۔۔۔ بے ادب بے نصیب۔۔۔

Allah sab jaante hain ❤️ humari ibadatein isliye humari niyyat k hisab se tauli jati hai

We believe in Allah without seeing Him through the many signs that He sent upon the Earth - one of which is the Quran itself, an absolute miracle and the word of God. 

With its miracles and knowledge of the past, scientific accuracy prediction, language eloquence etc. 

The other signs that exist are found in the creation itself- the change of seasons, the coming of the night and the day, the eclipse, the solar system, the rain and Greenery, fruits and flowers that come out of it and how we receive sustenance. 

 To the healing of our own body,   the various Complex systems within our body - digestive, circulatory,  respiratory , etc. – right down to the structure and function of the cell. 

Something as magnificent as the universe and something as detailed and harmonious as our own body could not have come into existence on its own or by accident, neither can it be created by another human or another being, which itself needs creation and is finite and limited. 

It can only be created by the Uncreated, One True God- Allah. Who is Perfect and Permanent - Al Hayy Al Qayyum. The Ever Living  The All Sustaining. 

 The other reason to believe in Allah without seeing Him should come from a place of humility - as we in this world cannot directly meet with great leaders or Presidents and other important people, but we know they exist and function, so how then can we weak humans and mere mortals expect to see Allah on our timelines when we ourselves are operating on His? 

It is through the realisation and development of our spiritual self that we grow to believe in the unseen because as humans we are not just physical but metaphysical. 

We realise the existence of Allah through His word and the comfort it brings to the heart, through His Prophets and His Books, through His remembrance, through the answering of a Dua, and through the protection He provides from various mishaps, through the various signs. He has sent out in the seen and unseen alike.

As Though You See Him
Reading Surah Al-Baqarah (2:55–56) through the Hadith

There are moments when the heart longs for certainty so completely. 
 that it begins to ask for what can be seen, held, and fully resolved.
Not always because faith is absent, 
but because uncertainty can feel difficult to remain inside for long.

وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَـٰمُوسَىٰ لَن نُؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّىٰ نَرَى ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً
 “And [recall] when you said: ‘O Musa, we will never believe you until we see Allah openly.’” (2:55)

The ayah carries something deeply human within it. 

And while the āyah speaks of Bani Isra’il and what unfolded between them and Musa عليه السلام,
something within it still feels deeply recognizable.

Not only disbelief,
but also the longing for certainty through what can be seen— 
for what is felt inwardly  to become unmistakable before the eyes.

And perhaps this is why the moment feels so unsettling.
Because so much had already been given: 
signs, rescue, revelation, forgiveness—
And still, what could not be seen directly seemed difficult to remain with.

فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ
 “So the thunderbolt seized you while you were looking on.” (2:55)
Little is said about the moment itself.
Only that something could not be crossed—
 that there are things not approached through demand,   
and not fully carried by sight alone.

Then, unexpectedly, the passage continues:
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَـٰكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَوْتِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
"Then We revived you after your death so that perhaps you would be grateful.” (2:56)
Even after rupture, the story is not ended.
Life is returned.

And perhaps it is here that another moment comes to mind— 
one remembered by the companions in Madinah, when a man unknown to them appeared before the Prophet ﷺ and sat among them asking about Islam, faith, and iḥsan.
Only later were they told the following:
“It was Jibrīl. He came to teach you your religion.”
And when the Prophet ﷺ was asked about iḥsān, he said:
أَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ كَأَنَّكَ تَرَاهُ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَرَاهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَرَاكَ
“To worship Allah as though you see Him; and if you do not see Him, know that He sees you.”
— Sahih Muslim / Sahih al-Bukhari

The ayah asks for sight as certainty.
But the hadith shifts something more quietly.

Not certainty through sight,  but nearness through awareness.
Not that everything becomes visible, 
but that even within what remains unseen, 
The heart continues to turn toward Him.

And perhaps this is what lingers most—
that faith is not always the absence of uncertainty, 
nor the immediate arrival of clarity,

but remaining present before Allah  
even when not everything has fully unfolded before you.
