كذالك يوحي اليك والى الذين من قبلك الله العزيز الحكيم ٣

كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِىٓ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٣

كَذٰلِكَ

یُوْحِیْۤ

اِلَیْكَ

وَاِلَی

الَّذِیْنَ

مِنْ

قَبْلِكَ ۙ

اللّٰهُ

الْعَزِیْزُ

الْحَكِیْمُ

۟

(اے نبی ﷺ !) اسی طرح وحی کرتا ہے آپ کی طرف اور ان کی طرف بھی کرتا رہا ہے جو آپ سے پہلے تھے وہ اللہ جو بہت زبردست بہت حکمت والا ہے۔

“This is how God, the Mighty and Wise, inspires you”

This reading has an active verb, and the divine name is its subject.

يُوحَى

yūḥā

“This is how you are inspired (by) God, the Mighty, the Wise”

This reading has a passive verb, then the divine name begins a new sentence which clarifies the source.

وضاحت

These readings convey the same meaning with different grammar [al-Mahdawi].
