وَإِذَا
غَشِيَهُم
مَّوۡجٞ
كَٱلظُّلَلِ
دَعَوُاْ
ٱللَّهَ
مُخۡلِصِينَ
لَهُ
ٱلدِّينَ
فَلَمَّا
نَجَّىٰهُمۡ
إِلَى
ٱلۡبَرِّ
فَمِنۡهُم
مُّقۡتَصِدٞۚ
وَمَا
يَجۡحَدُ
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
إِلَّا
كُلُّ
خَتَّارٖ
كَفُورٖ

Onları dağlar gibi dalgalar kuşattığı zaman, dini tamamen Allah’a halis kılarak O’na dua ederler. Allah onları karaya çıkararak kurtardığı vakit içlerinden bir kısmı (tam, hakkıyla değil) ortada kalırlar. Ayetlerimizi (sözünden) cayan ve nankör olanlardan başkası bile bile inkâr etmez.

Ibn Kathir (Abridged)
Allah tells us that He is the One Who has subjugated the sea so that ships may sail on it by His command, i.e., by His grace and power
