The magicians went from disbelievers to believers in an instant Subhan Allah, and their iman was immediately so strong. They knew what would happen to them but it didn't stop them, even though they must have felt some fear because they were human beings, so they must have....but they didn't let that fear stop them. Instead they made this beautiful du'a asking for sabr to get through what they knew would be coming. This is so relevant to the times we're living in now, where violence towards Muslims is getting worse and worse. May we all have this level of iman and sabr and remain firmly on the Straight Path and die as Muslims, ameen.

SubhanAllah what a beautiful reflection on how fast Allah can turn hearts and how true iman gives a person strength even to face severe threats. The reference to the magicians’ dua for sabr is very strong and very relevant. May Allah bless us with strong iman, sabr and a good end upon Islam. Ameen.

What an amazing way to ask for Sabr. 
        ربنا افرغ علينا صبرا   
Perhaps they knew Allah is The Most Patient. Because He allowed pharaoh to commit all this oppression when He could have siezed him whenever He wanted. 

Ya Allah we ask You to soften our hearts and allow us to show mercy to each other. While, You are The Most Merciful. 

We also ask You, to grant us Sabr and allow us to be patient with one another. While, You are The Most Patient.
