هَا أَنْتُمْ
hā-antum*
“You are the very ones who argued…”
In this reading, hā has an emphatic purpose (tanbīh).
هَأَنْتُمْ
ha-antum
“Are you the ones who argued…?” OR “You are the very ones who argued…”
In this reading, the origin of hā is the interrogative hamzah.

Maelezo

These two readings are similar in meaning. *Note that Abū ʿAmr, Qālūn (from Nāfiʿ) and Abū Jaʿfar pronounce this word in a way which may also be based on the interrogative. It is also possible that all the readings are based on hā for tanbīh [al-Mahdawi].

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
