When you ask Allah to guide you, are you truly open to where that guidance might take you, even if it asks you to change habits, leave a sin, or step into something harder but better?

I believe that for the most part, when I ask Allah to guide me, I am accepting that whatever plan that I have for myself may not be the best for me. Over time, I have learned that sometimes it's necessary to leave things that you might not want to. When I took my Chicago last year, I was with my son's father for 6 years, and he was not Muslim. Without getting into the details of our relationship, some things already led me to leave, but ultimately it was for the sake of Allah. It was an extremely hard choice to make, and it still comes with many struggles. I'm a single mother now, and I became a mom one month after I turned 18 years old. I prayed and prayed for this exact moment. I asked Allah to guide me because I was filled with so much uncertainty and had no idea what the future would hold. Now I am here. Allah guided, and I put my trust in Him. 

For me, the only judgment I trust 100% is Allah's. I learned from a very first-hand experience that I would step into the hardest thing of my entire life, but it was also the best decision. Alhamdulillah. Letting go and letting Allah is the first step to change. 

While reflecting on Surah Al-Fatiha, especially the ayah "Guide us to the straight path," I felt something deeply.
This ayah reminds me that as humans, we are not perfect. We have weaknesses; we get confused, and sometimes even when we know the right path, we struggle to follow it.
It makes me realize how much we need Allah's guidance at every step, not just once but again and again.
Perhaps that is why we repeat this Dua in every prayer.
This ayah is not just a request for guidance; it is an admission of our dependence on Allah.

Between a Question and Its Answer

On entering Surah البقرة (al-Baqarah — The Cow)

There is a moment — almost imperceptible — when, as you move through the Qur’an, you pass from asking into being answered.
It does not announce itself.  There is no clear boundary, no visible threshold. You turn the page, as you would in any book, and yet something in the atmosphere shifts — like stepping into a space that feels familiar, but somehow more attentive, more aware of you.
This is how Surah البقرة (al-Baqarah — The Cow) begins.

Before it, there was only a question.
In Surah الفاتحة (al-Fātiḥah — The Opening), the words are simple, almost unguarded in their clarity:
﴿ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴾ (Ihdinā aṣ-ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm — Guide us to the straight path) → الفاتحة 1:6
It is a request that does not yet reveal its full weight — one that is made with trust, before understanding what it might require in return.

And then — without transition, without explanation — comes the reply:
﴿ ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴾ (Dhālika al-kitābu lā rayba fīhi hudan lil-muttaqīn — This is the Book… a guidance for the God-conscious) → البقرة 2:2
There is no argument here.  No gradual persuasion.
Only a statement that stands on its own — complete, and unconcerned with whether it is immediately understood.

A medieval scholar, الخُوَيِّي (al-Khuwayyī — a scholar of Qur’anic structure from the later classical period, known for his reflections on the coherence and arrangement of the surahs), captured this transition with a clarity that feels almost understated: 
“When they asked for guidance, it was said to them: This is the path you asked for.”

One might expect guidance to arrive gently.
As clarity. As lightness. As something that resolves rather than complicates.
But Surah البقرة (al-Baqarah) does not move like that.
It moves like a city.
Wide, structured, filled with streets that do not immediately reveal where they lead. There are laws, narratives, warnings, repetitions — details that seem, at first, almost excessive. You don’t pass through it quickly. You inhabit it.
And gradually, without being told, you begin to understand that guidance is not something you are given all at once.
It is something you are trained into.

جلال الدين السيوطي (Jalāl ad-Dīn as-Suyūṭī — 1445–1505 CE), a scholar who dedicated his life to tracing the inner structure of the Qur’an, writes:
“Every surah is an expansion of what came before it in summary.”
 Then الفاتحة (al-Fātiḥah) is not merely an opening.
It is a seed.
And البقرة (al-Baqarah) is what happens when that seed is allowed to grow.

What was once contained in a phrase begins to take on form.
Praise becomes remembrance:
﴿ فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ ﴾ (Fa-dhkurūnī adhkurkum — Remember Me and I will remember you) → البقرة 2:152
And mercy — once named — appears across situations,  sometimes where it is expected,  and sometimes where it is not.

In the story of آدم (Ādam — Adam), it follows error:
﴿ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ ﴾ (He accepted his repentance; indeed He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful) → البقرة 2:37
In the prayer of إبراهيم (Ibrāhīm — Abraham), it extends even beyond belief:
﴿ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُ قَلِيلًا ﴾ (And whoever disbelieves, I will grant him enjoyment for a short while) → البقرة 2:126
Mercy, here, is not confined to expectation.
It moves more freely than that.

And then, almost unexpectedly, it appears within what might otherwise seem purely procedural:
 إِذَا تَدَايَنتُم بِدَيْنٍ … فَاكْتُبُوهُ ﴾ → البقرة 2:282
A verse about contracts. About writing things down. About precision.
Yet beneath its structure, there is something else —  it reveals itself as protection.
A form of care embedded into the fabric of daily life.

Guidance, then, is not confined to what is sacred in the narrow sense.
It enters everything.
Quietly, persistently.

And yet, there is a tension that runs beneath all of this.
A division.
Early in the surah, three types of people emerge — not as categories to observe from a distance, but as possibilities that linger uncomfortably close.
﴿ أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ﴾ (They are upon guidance from their Lord) → البقرة 2:5
But others turn away.
Others hesitate.
Others see, and still do not follow.

And then comes a line that seems simple, but refuses to remain so:
﴿ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴾ (Hudan lil-muttaqīn — guidance for the God-conscious) → البقرة 2:2
The Book is guidance.
But not universally received.
The same words, the same verses — and yet, not the same outcome.

At this point, the reading changes.
It is no longer only about understanding what the Qur’an says.
It becomes about what it does.

Guidance is no longer something external.
It becomes a question of readiness.
Of posture.
Of what the heart is capable of holding.

By the time the surah draws to a close, the language shifts again.
From instruction back into supplication:
﴿ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا … ﴾ (Our Lord, do not take us to account if we forget or err…) → البقرة 2:286
It echoes the beginning.
Not identically — but recognizably.
As if the journey does not end with certainty, but with a deeper form of asking.

And perhaps this is the quiet architecture of it all:
الفاتحة (al-Fātiḥah) begins with a request.
البقرة (al-Baqarah) responds — not by simplifying the path, but by unfolding it.
And at the end, you find yourself asking again.
But not in the same way.

Because something has shifted.
Not in the words.
But in the one who reads them.

And so the question that remains is no longer:
Where is the path?
But something far more difficult to answer:
What, within me, is still resisting it?

It’s my second time reading the Qur’an as a new convert.
I completed it for the first time at the end of my first Ramadan, الحمد لله 
This time feels different.
Less about finishing, more about entering.
Less about understanding everything, more about being present with it.
Sharing a few reflections from a journey that continues to quietly transform me. 

I did not begin this journey by trying to understand the order of the Qur’an.
At first, I was simply reading — slowly, sometimes uncertainly, sometimes with pauses between verses that felt longer than the verses themselves. I would sit with a surah, reflect on it, write a few lines, and move on. Each surah felt like its own world, complete and self-contained.

But something subtle kept happening.
A feeling that what came after was somehow responding to what came before.
I couldn’t explain it — not intellectually, not yet. 
Only later did I come across this idea in the introduction of Al-Suyuti’s work: that the arrangement of the Qur’an might itself be توقيفي (tawqīfī — divinely determined, not based on human reasoning).
And suddenly, what I had felt began to take form as something real.

Not Just Words — But Placement
The Qur’an says:
﴿ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْآنَهُ ﴾ (Inna ‘alaynā jam‘ahu wa qur’ānahu — Indeed, upon Us is its collection and its recitation) — Surah al-Qiyāmah (75:17)
Before, I used to read this as preservation — that Allah gathered the Qur’an so it would not be lost.
But now, جمع (jam‘ — collection, gathering) began to feel different.
Not just gathered — but placed. Arranged. Almost like how notes in music are not simply written, but composed.

The First Step: Asking for Guidance
When I first reflected on Surah الفاتحة (al-fātiḥah — the Opening), it felt like a quiet beginning.
A request. A vulnerability.
﴿ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴾ (Ihdinā aṣ-ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm — Guide us to the straight path 1:6)
At the time, I wrote in my notes: This feels like standing at the beginning of something unknown.

And then came Surah البقرة (al-baqarah — the Cow):
﴿ ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴾ (Dhālika al-kitābu lā rayba fīhi hudan lil-muttaqīn — This is the Book… a guidance for the God-conscious 2:2)
It didn’t feel like a coincidence.
It felt like an answer.
Not immediate, not overwhelming — but calm, assured.
As if the Qur’an was saying: You asked. Now walk.

A Book You Don’t Just Read — You Enter
There is a verse:
﴿ كِتَابٌ أُحْكِمَتْ آيَاتُهُ ﴾ (Kitābun uḥkimat āyātuhu — A Book whose verses are perfected) — Surah Hūd (11:1)
إحكام (iḥkām — precision, firmness, perfect arrangement)
But I began to feel that this precision is not only in the verses themselves, but in how they are placed next to each other.
Sometimes, when moving from one surah to another, I would feel a shift:
-from intensity to calm
-from warning to mercy
-from vast stories to something deeply personal

At first, I thought: this is just how reading works. But later, I wondered:
What if these transitions are meant and the Qur’an is not a collection of separate messages — but a مسار (masār—a path, a journey) you are being guided through?

When Separation Speaks
One of the most striking ideas while reading Imam Al-Ghazali's book  introduction is that even when surahs seem similar, they are sometimes not placed together.
From a human perspective, it would be more “logical” to group them.
But the Qur’an does not always follow what feels logical.
And that, strangely, made it feel more intentional.
The Qur’an says:
﴿ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرٌ ﴾ (Likulli shay’in qadar — Everything has a precise measure) — Surah al-Ṭalāq (65:3)
Even distance.
Even sequence.
Even delay.

There were moments in my reading where I didn’t understand why I was reading a certain surah at that time.
It didn’t seem to connect to what I had just read.
But then — sometimes much later — something would click.
A meaning would return.
A verse would echo.
And I would realize:
It was not random. It was just… not immediate.

Pairs That Feel Like Continuation
When I reflected on Surah الضحى (aḍ-ḍuḥā — the Morning Light), it felt like a gentle reassurance:
﴿ مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ﴾
That after emptiness, there is care - 93:3.
Then Surah الشرح (ash-sharḥ — the Expansion):
﴿ فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ﴾ (Fa-inna ma‘a al-‘usri yusrā — Indeed, with hardship comes ease- 94:4)
Not a new message — but a continuation.
Like the same voice, speaking again, a little deeper.
And this is where the idea of نظم (naẓm — coherence, harmonious arrangement) becomes something you don’t just study — you feel.

The Qur’an as Something Complete
Another verse stayed with me:
﴿ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ ﴾ (Al-yawma akmaltu lakum dīnakum — Today I have perfected your religion for you) — Surah al-Mā’idah (5:3)
أكملت (akmaltu — I have perfected, completed)
If the religion is complete — then the Qur’an, its core, is also complete.
Not only in message. But in form. In order. In structure.

And this realization brought something unexpected:
A kind of stillness.
Because it means:
I am not reading something in progress.
I am stepping into something that is already whole.

Final Reflection
Before this, reading The Qur’an for the first time, I used to approach it as something I needed to understand.
Now, when reading it for the second time, I began to approach it as something I need to move through.
Step by step.
Surah by surah.
Not rushing.
Not rearranging.
Not questioning why this comes before that.
But trusting that:
Just as every verse has its place — every moment of reading does too.
And maybe…
just like the Qur’an is arranged with precision إحكام (iḥkām — perfect arrangement), my own journey through it is being arranged in ways I don’t yet see.

There is a quiet shift that happens when you begin to see the Qur’an this way:
You stop asking, “Why is this here?”
And begin to ask, “Why am I here, at this point, with this surah?”
And that question…
feels like the beginning of a different kind of reading.

I have begun to understand something about the way we ask Allah for things. For most of my life, my dua was filled with outcomes. I asked for things to work out. I asked for doors to open. I asked for pain to end quickly. I asked for success, for ease, for vindication. I asked Allah to arrange the world in a way that made sense to me.

But the more I reflect on اهدنا الصراط المستقيم,  the more I realize that the Qur’an is teaching us to ask for something much deeper than outcomes.

We are taught to ask for the path. And a path is different from an outcome.
When we ask Allah for the path, we are asking Him to carry us through all of it.
There have been many moments in my life when I questioned why I had to go through what I did. I remember asking Allah: Why this? Why me? Why this pain? Why this humiliation? I could not see the wisdom. I could not see the mercy. All I could see was the weight of the experience and the scars it left behind.

And sometimes, like the people in the story of Khidr and Musa, we may never fully understand. They watched things happen that seemed like pure injustice: a boat damaged, a boy killed, a wall rebuilt for people who offered no kindness. At every moment, it looked like something wrong was unfolding. Only later did the hidden wisdom emerge but the people themselves were never given that explanation.

In the same way, not everyone in life is granted clarity about the hardships they endure. Many of us walk through experiences whose meaning remains hidden.

Perhaps the test is not to understand everything but to continue walking the path even when we do not. To believe that as long as our hearts keep turning back to Allah, as long as our longing and worship are directed toward Him, then we have not lost the road.

Sometimes I think about the tears I shed during those years I wished would disappear from my story. At the time they felt like evidence of defeat, weakness, humiliation. But maybe those tears were part of the mercy. Maybe they softened parts of my heart that would otherwise have hardened. Maybe the pain kept me from becoming someone I was never meant to be.

Maybe every wound, every disappointment, every moment of humiliation was part of Allah gently correcting my direction.

Because the straight path is not always smooth. Sometimes it includes loss. Sometimes it includes waiting. Sometimes it includes humiliation that purifies you. Sometimes it includes a door closing so firmly that you finally stop chasing something that would have slowly taken you away from Allah.

So the Qur’an teaches us something wiser.
It teaches us to say:
O Allah, put me on the right path, whatever that path contains.
There is a quiet peace in that realization. It does not remove pain from the journey but it gives the pain meaning. It transforms confusion into trust. It allows us to accept that even the parts of life we would never have chosen may still be part of the road that leads us home.

And maybe that is why we repeat this verse so many times every day. Because we forget. Because our hearts still cling to outcomes.

And if Allah keeps us on that path until our final breath, then every tear we shed, every loss we endured and every humiliation we survived will have been part of a journey that led us exactly where we needed to go.

As the month of Ramadan moves forward and the days quietly pass, I find myself thinking more about guidance. The more I read the Qur’an, the more I notice how often it speaks about being guided, staying guided, and not losing that direction. It feels less like a distant concept and more like something very personal.

We ask every day, “Guide us to the straight path.” I’ve said that verse countless times in my life. But in Ramadan, it feels different. Slower. Heavier. More sincere. Maybe because fasting strips away distractions, or maybe because hunger makes you more aware of your dependence on Allah.

Ramadan is not just about controlling the body. It is about recalibrating the heart. When the noise reduces,  less food, less talk, less indulgence,  something inside becomes clearer. you start to notice your intentions. Your reactions. Your weaknesses. And in that awareness, the need for guidance becomes real.

I’m realizing that guidance is not a one-time event. It’s something we need constantly. Every day. Every decision. Ramadan just reminds me how much I rely on it and how much I still need it.

Surah Al-Fatiha 1:6
Guidance begins with admitting we cannot find the right path without Allah.

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:2
The Qur’an is guidance, but only hearts with taqwa benefit from it.

 Surah Al-Baqarah 2:142
True guidance is ultimately an act of Allah’s will, not human intelligence alone.

Surah Aal-E-Imran 3:101
Holding firmly to Allah is the surest way to remain on the straight path.

Surah An-Nisa 4:175
Faith and reliance invite Allah to guide us closer to Him.

Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:16
Seeking Allah’s pleasure opens doors to paths of peace.

 Surah Al-An'am 6:125
Guidance feels like expansion of the heart, not pressure upon it.

 Surah Al-A'raf 7:43
Even in Paradise, believers recognize that guidance was a gift, not an achievement.

Surah At-Tawbah 9:33
The Prophet’s mission itself is guidance for humanity.

“He is successful if he remains truthful ”   

The Quran right from the outset, teaches us to plead to Allah for guidance. Not just guidance. But to be upon the straight path. In the very next surah, (Al Baqarah) we are told that guidance is in ‘this Book’, and to unlock it we must be God-conscious.

The characteristics of ‘muttaqeen’ are those who believe in the unseen, such as the angels, heaven and hell and those who establish prayer and give charity. They believe in all of Allah’s revelation and are certain in the hereafter. Then comes the verse, “it is they who are truly guided by their Lord and it is they who are truly successful”.  

The Quran is providing us with a blueprint of success from the very first verses. What we learn from this is, to be successful we must acquaint ourselves with these fundamental qualities. They are not difficult to acquire, or commit to. But they require constancy and perseverance. Each facet of guidance, Taqwa, Iman, Salah, charity, belief in the unseen, His Books and certainty in the afterlife shapes and moulds the believer to succeed. There is no complex philosophy, theology, there is no hidden agenda or secret recipe for success. It is there obvious, visible and clear for all of humanity to follow. This is the ease and simplicity of Islam. This is the same criteria that the Prophet (peace be upon him) reiterated when a simple man came to him enquiring about Islam essentially asking him “what do I have to do to succeed as a Muslim”? The Prophet (peace be upon him) highlighted the same success criteria, and the man boldly responded saying; “By Allah! I will neither make any addition to this nor will I decrease anything from it."  The Prophet (peace be upon him) upon hearing this simple yet honest commitment said  “he has succeeded if he sticks to what he says”  

Often we make Islam complicated, adding our own layers of complexities, and we ‘bolt-on’ our own version of what a successful Muslim must look like. Returning back to the Quran and sunnah reminds us how simple and straightforward Islam is. It doesn’t demand much: just stick to it!


Talhah bin 'Ubaidullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: 
A person with dishevelled hair, one of the people of Najd, came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). We heard the humming of his voice but could not fully understand what he was saying, till he approached close to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). Then I came to know that he was asking about Islam. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "There are five (obligatory) Salat during the day and the night." He said: "Am I obliged to perform any other (Salat) besides these?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "No, but whatever you observe voluntarily." He (ﷺ) added, "There is the fast, (Saum) of Ramadan." The inquirer asked: "Am I obliged to do anything besides this?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "No, but whatever you do out of your own free will. You may observe voluntary fasting." And the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) told him about the Zakat (obligatory charity). The inquirer asked: "Am I obliged to pay anything besides this?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "No, but whatever you pay voluntarily out of your own free will." That man turned back saying: "By Allah! I will neither make any addition to this nor will I decrease anything from it." (Upon hearing this) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) remarked, "He is successful if he proves truthful (to what he is saying)."

Seventeen.

That's how many times per day we ask Allah to guide us to the Straight Path, in our five daily prayers.

Now let me ask you a simple question: Based on what you know about Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful... do you think He will hear us beg Him for something seventeen times a day and refuse to grant it?

Secrets of Al-Fatihah (PART 7): Just 1 REQUEST

If you could ask Allah ﷻ for just one thing… what would it be?
We could — and we should — ask for everything and anything,
because He is a Lord who loves to give.
But if we had to focus our efforts on just one thing —
because of our limited time and energy —
what would it be?
We might rely on our own logic or desires to answer this — but that would be naïve.
It’s like a parent asking a child what they want:
the child simply cannot know.
I once saw a child trade a £5 note for 10 x 2p coins —
because they didn’t grasp true value.
Yet this is nothing compared to the gap between Allah’s ﷻ wisdom and ours.
So why rely on our words,
when we could rely on His?
Allah ﷻ taught us exactly what to ask for —
in Sūrah al-Fātiḥah,
a surah we recite more than any other,
seventeen times a day.
He even phrased it in the first person —
ready for us to claim it as our own.
And what is that request?
اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
'Guide us to the Straight Path.'
(Ihdinā aṣ-Ṣirāṭ al-Mustaqīm)
Guidance.
Guidance captures everything.
It teaches you when to seek forgiveness.
It leads you to treasures
It leads you to Jannah.
It leads you to Allah ﷻ.

But there’s a subtlety in the prayer —
it’s not guidance to the outcome,
but to the صِّرَاطَ — the path itself.
Allah ﷻ points us to focus on the process —
and He will take care of the outcome.
You concern yourself with the struggle,
and He will take care of the rest.

The path — the صِّرَاطَ —
reminds us of our role:
we must still walk it.
Nothing descends without effort.

Yet, Allah’s ﷻ ease descends at every level.
He qualifies it:
صِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ — the Straight Path.
The shortest.
The path of least resistance.
Because Allah ﷻ always wishes ease for us.

So if you could ask Allah ﷻ for just one thing…
let it be guidance.
Because with guidance — you will find everything else.
And without it, you have nothing.

I was a completely different person back then — so much so that if I were to meet my younger self today, I would hardly recognize her. That's also the case with people who know me from that life; when they meet this version of mine; they would ask, *O, what have you done to yourself?* in a condescending tone; only if they knew that my one step towards Allaah subhana hu taala has resulted in the unimaginable bounties of Allaah that their eyes cannot see and their hearts cannot comprehend.

I was the epitome of success back then in every worldly sense. Beauty, intelligence, wealth, exposure, career, dream holidays, confidence, marriage, kids - you name it. I had it all.

But inwardly, I was drowning in distress, misery, and darkness. My heart was far from peace, engulfed in sin and the love of this dunya — آعوذ بالله  so much so that when I made du'as, they were limited to matters of this dunya only. I had no understanding of what it truly meant to connect with Allaah, I was a Muslim by name and by heritage only... It was from the infinite mercy of Allaah subhana Hu taala that I planned my Umrah in December 2016, I didn’t even know how to make du’a or what to ask for. I wasn't even excited about that trip. Little did I know that my life was about to change for good. Alhamdulillaah 

I still remember that first gaze upon the Kaabah — a moment etched in my soul forever. It changed my entire being. During that Umrah, I didn't ask for any matters related to dunya; neither wealth nor success or anything. I asked only for one thing: *Guidance*.I shed tears like never before. It was an extraordinary journey, and it was through those sincere, uncertain pleas that Allaah turned my heart. That experience taught me that *Guidance is not something we receive by default — it must be asked for, longed for, and cherished.*

I value this blessing more than anything, precisely because *I know what it feels like to live without it. Those years of darkness remind me of the immense mercy it is to be brought to the light.* And even now, *I realize that guidance is never guaranteed*. We can not assume that because we are rightly guided today, we will remain so tomorrow. So many have walked firmly on the straight path only to later stumble and fall into the traps of Shaytan. With every slip throughout the years, I feel the darkness that lurks inside me, still waiting for this facade to go down to make me return to my initial state. After all, the life I spent in those ugly years still haunts me, as my numbered days on this earth so far are still constituted by those pieces of me like imprints engraved on my soul. It seems as if one half of my soul is waiting for my other half to fail miserably. Subhan Allaah 

That’s why Surah Al-Fatihah resonates with me so deeply. The command to recite it multiple times every day is a divine reminder that we must continually ask Allah: 'اهدنا  الصراط المستقيم' — Guide us to the Straight Path

*This repetition isn’t a formality; it’s a spiritual lifeline.* It reminds us that guidance requires three things: knowledge, action, and above all, *Allaah’s help*. Without all three, we risk straying from the right course; we risk losing the most important treasure of our lives. May Allaah protect us all. 

After several years of being a joyful Muslim, I have come to the realisation that *Guidance is not a destination — it’s a journey. A lifelong journey of striving, supplicating, and staying humble before the One who holds our hearts.*

O Turner of hearts, keep my heart steadfast on your Deen

الهم مقلب القلوب ثبت قلبي على دينك
