Bismillah

By the Mount —
Where Musa stood barefoot in the valley of Tuwa,
where revelation first descended,
where the Word was carved into stone,
and later shattered in grief when the covenant was broken.
A beginning — both majestic and heavy.
The place where responsibility met betrayal.

By the Book — inscribed and unrolled —
From the scrolls of the Torah, written with trembling care,
to the Injeel, spoken in parables and carried by disciples,
to the Qur’an, preserved letter by letter,
from parchment to digital screen.
Its origin is higher —
etched in the Preserved Tablet, untouched by time or hand.

By the House — ever-frequented —
The Ka‘bah below, circled by believers,
and the Bayt al-Ma‘mur above, encircled by angels.
One reflects the other.
One seen, the other veiled.
Worship never ceases,
in the realm of the physical or the realm of the unseen.

By the sky — raised high —
The seven heavens, layered and ordered,
flawless in their design.

By the sea — filled and deep —
Its surface holds calm,
but beneath it — heat, fire, unseen movement.

'Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur —'
﴿إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ﴾

It is not a threat.
It is a fact.
Promised, decreed —
not if, but when.

'There is nothing to avert it.'
﴿مَا لَهُ مِن دَافِعٍ﴾

No army, no wealth, no walls can stop it.
No political power, no excuse,
no forgetting.
