قال يا قوم ارايتم ان كنت على بينة من ربي واتاني رحمة من عنده فعميت عليكم انلزمكموها وانتم لها كارهون ٢٨
قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنتُمْ لَهَا كَـٰرِهُونَ ٢٨
قَالَ
يَٰقَوۡمِ
أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ
إِن
كُنتُ
عَلَىٰ
بَيِّنَةٖ
مِّن
رَّبِّي
وَءَاتَىٰنِي
رَحۡمَةٗ
مِّنۡ
عِندِهِۦ
فَعُمِّيَتۡ
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
أَنُلۡزِمُكُمُوهَا
وَأَنتُمۡ
لَهَا
كَٰرِهُونَ
٢٨
Respondeu-lhes: Ó povo meu, se possuo a evidência de meu Senhor que me agraciou com a Sua misericórdia - a qualvos foi vedada (por tal merecerdes) - posso, acaso, obrigar-vos a aceitá-la, uma vez que a aborreceis?

This form II verb is in the passive voice, i.e. Allah decreed that these people would not perceive the proof (bayyinah) or the mercy (i.e. prophethood, raḥmah).

This form I verb conveys this meaning directly, or via a rhetorical reversal.
